The only time star power can be gathered together like this is for an awards show or a funeral. We're so sorry to say its the latter, but we're pleased so many people planning on making the trip to say goodbye to a beloved talent.

The number of A-list stars expected to be at Whitney Houston's funeral tomorrow has grown to almost a dozen recognizable stars. Besides the previously announce attendees like Oprah and Kevin Costner, friends and admirers such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Elton John, Bill Cosby, and David Bowie are all expected to attend the service at Newark, New Jersey’s New Hope Baptist Church.

Of the service, New Hope church Pastor Joe A. Carter told the New Jersey Star-Ledger:

"It’s going to be a ceremony that reflects her life. A celebration of Whitney’s life, with the participation of many people who are very important in Whitney’s life."

And who better to celebrate her life than those who loved and knew her best.

It will be a somber occasion, but hopefully one that brings a lot of people closer to peace with her passing.

Oh for crying out loud, all she ever did was sing. There are millions of people who do more for the society every single day than she did in her entire life.

WHY are these stoopid people celebrating the life of a crack-head??? Black people is crazy!

I wonder if Mariah will be going. She seemed to be only one (other than WH family) that was genuinely effected by her death… She cancelled her appearance on GMA because of it and tweeted five/six tweets about, or in referal to, her death. Hmm. Maybe with Nick's health problems, they won't go.

Is anyone else sick of this story? I heard some moron on television the other day declaring her death is as big as Michael Jackson's. Uh…no. Not even in the same ballpark. Not sure where the elevated hype is coming from on this one. She was a known substance abuser who came to a very expected end. Why all the shock and dismay?

Re: methesupergirl – Stfu. If you don't care, then why are you posting? I'm so tired of you people come on here spreading nothing but hate. Whitney was an icon, a legend, and a huge superstar in her time. Like every huge superstar that passes, did you really think the media wasn't going to blow this shit up? It happens every time! The funeral service was to honor the life of Whitney and pay last respects and she deserves that like everyone else. Her daughter and her mother have to bury her, so have a fucking heart asshole!
