Although it had been reported that Bobby Brown would be in attendance today at the funeral services for Whitney Houston, the singer's ex-husband, who many credit as being responsible for her downfall into addiction, was turned away at the church and asked to leave!

A source reveals:

"Bobby was outside the church. He hugged his brother and then got in a car, and they drove him off. They wouldn't allow him in."

Wow. We couldn't possibly understand these very delicate circumstances, but we have to wonder if that would be what Whitney would have wanted.

Thoughts?

UPDATE:

Bobby Brown apparently CHOSE not to attend the services, as his entourage of nine people were not permitted inside. Instead of choosing to go in anyway, the singer left with his friends, "visibly upset," according to an eye-witness.

That's not fair….he loved her she loved him…he had a right to be there to pay his respects along with his daughter.

  2. 2

It has been said that he showed up with 9 uninvited people and expected them to sit in the family section with him. AND that he wanted to speak in the service, and they wouldn't let him.

  3. 3

It is so easy to blame Bobby for Whitney's downfall, but when they first got together, some said that it was actually Whitney that got Bobby into the hard stuff, not the other way around.

  4. 4

IT'S BULLSHIT AND PEREZ MAKING SHIT UP AGAIN, as on other sites. CAN'T YOU FREAKS SHOW TABLOIDS AT LEAST HAVE ENOUGH CLASS TO WAIT UNTIL THE FUNERAL IS OVER? What the hell is wrong with you people?

  5. 5

The funeral is about Whitney today…IF her family does not want that loser/degenerate there, then they have the right to kick him out. Yes, Whitney had a mind of her own and made choices HOWEVER, you cannot deny that Bobby had a drug/addictive hold on her that did destroy her. Would she be alive today IF she had not met Bobby Brown? Probably, who knows. Whitney should have gotten help and gotten sober and away from that man sooner. Sad.

  6. 6

Re: Pacific Ocean Gal – Actually, it's true. I watched the live stream as Bobby got into his SUV and left. But it wasn't the family who "kicked" him out. Bobby & his fiance were invited; but Bobby showed up with an entourage and said he wanted to speak. He was told, "no" … he was welcome as a guest but was not going to speak. The Rev. Al Sharpton tweeted "I am at Whitney's funeral. I spoke with Bobby Brown trying to calm him down and not distract from the services. Today is about Whitney!" Bobby wouldn't settle down at not being able to speak during the service/not being able to bring in his entourage, so he got in his SUV and left.

Re: Pacific Ocean Gal – Class? Not sure if this deserves "class". I am talking about addcition and the isidiousness and devasting effect it has on the person and the entire family. Either way, this couple is a poster couple for addiction and what can go wrong AND unhealthy relationships. If you do not want to see it, fine-it is your choice. But that is the deal…One learns that very quickly when exposed to addiction first-hand. Damn sad and darn unfortunate.

  8. 8

The family ultimately gets to decide who theyt want there…he is an ex-husband…the family have their reasons…he can pay his respect in other ways …R.I.P., Whitney…a new STAR in Heaven, tonight…..

  9. 9

    R.I.P., Whitney…..

  10. 10

And, BTW, WHO has an 'entourage' to a funeral ? ! ? ! Craz- eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !

  11. 11

ok so he couldnt get seats for the 9 people he brought with him… so he chose to leave instead of staying with his daughter?!

  12. 12

Re: Meggie246524 – Fine . Maybe he actually did make a complete ass of himself, maybe not, but the least these fricking tabloids could do is respect the funeral and post later — after it is over. I don't believe anything as posted on these sites, they twist and turn to get hits and make money. No one is SURE at this point what happened, which is exactly my point. So sick of the media hyping shit before they have FACTS solely TO MAKE MONEY. May they all rot in hell. WHY is it acceptable to disrespect the deceased? Even tabloids could have some class for God's sake. Believe what you want — Myself I will wait for more credible information.

  13. 13

WHAT A DOUCHE. WHY THE FUCK DID HE NEED HIS ENTOURAGE THERE?! UGH. This vile, pathetic excuse of a man makes me feel sick. As horrible as it sounds, I sometimes wish he had died, rather than Whitney. At least Whitney TRIED to better herself, had some talent and was a half-decent person.

  14. ring says – reply to this

    14

What an ass! He chose not to attend the funeral because they would not allow his uninvited "entourage" to enter the church? Wtf? They could not wait outside? It is a funeral, not a fucking party! Show some respect asshole!

  15. 15

I have been waiting, and waiting and now we have Rev AL who gets into the middle, how does that greasy slime ball manage to weasel his way into every situation
If they wanted some dignity to the funeral, you would make sure Rev AL was not invited

I would be very curious who did decide on who gets an invite, and who does not
Seems the daughter would have the last word, and IM sure she wanted her father there, if she let some sleeze bags (AL Sharpten ) to tell her what to do today, she is going to have BIG problems when he starts to tell her what to do tomorrow

  16. 16

Re: Pacific Ocean Gal – I get your point & it's a good one. No argument.

  17. 17

While he may not have forced Whitney to become a complete alcoholic junkie, his influence sure didn't help her any. ANYONE can see the Whitney Houston pre and post Bobby Brown. These crap husbands who act more like dealer-pimps destroying lives have to be taught a lesson. And its obvious he's not learned a thing showing up to bury an ex- with his new girlfriend and an entourage. These are ghetto power moves which need to be stopped in their tracks before they bring down more lives in the music industry. There are the doctors, the addicts and then there are all these BAD influences which made up the perfect storm creating all of these premature deaths.

  18. 18

If that black boy showed up at one of my family functions, let along with nine other black boys tagging along he would not need to leave, he would be escorted out the same way we escort animals from helicopters. Haven't they buried that junkie yet?

  19. 19

why did he need an entourage to see his daughter and pay his respects to his ex wife. maybe it's just me but I would have told the entourage to come back later. what a schmuck, he chose friends over his daughter. hope he's next, piece of shit.

  20. 20

Re: ms trudy – You are assuming it's true. It might be. But calm down until we actually know. For crying out loud. You people that read this stuff and take it to be truth without any backup amaze me. Perez correct his posts all the time, subtly, but he does. Just pay more attention and you will see it's not all written in stone. If someone told you to jump off a bridge because it is the "in" thing would you do it? Same thing. Don't be a sheep. Search for fact, not fiction that makes someone rich posting it.

  21. 21

He is likely at this moment honouring his ex-wife's memory with his entourage, with a crack part-eh ……

  22. 22

'Entourage' !? WHO the hell is he ? The President ? ! Sheeeesh ! Give me a break !

  23. 23

    You're an asshole.

  24. 24

    You're an asshole.
    UPDATE:
    You're an asshole.

  25. 25

WHO is an A-Hole ? Perez, Bobby Brown, or Both … ?

  26. 26

Re: sanfran1 – If there is one day that should be about Whitney, it's TODAY! Let the woman have her funeral! If Bobby really did show up with NINE additional people knowing the venue was already packed, he should be shamed. It wasn't about his brother, homies, or all his other kids. It was about Whitney and Bobbi Kristina.

And yes, while Whitney was a grown woman and made her own decisions, I always got the feeling that he was jealous of her. His career never came anywhere close to hers no matter how much she tried to promote him as "The King of R&B" (laughable right?). Therefore, I felt that since he couldn't rise to her level, he had to bring her down to his. His actions today proved the kind of selfish and jealous person he was. If he couldn't even let Whitney's funeral be about her, then that shows how self absorbed he really his.

  27. 27

It is no wonder nobody goes to church anymore. At least Bobby did not have to sit through that which had nothing to do with Whitney at all!! I loved the service until Reverend Winans got the Mike and started hogging everything and went on and on and on and on about being a christian. Wow - he ruined the whole thing. BE STILL.. Christ said.. BE QUIET. Rev. Winans.. what a narcissist.. How could he do that to a beautiful service!

  28. 28

Well that says it all don't it. What. A. Dick.

  29. 29

    He BEAT her ! Don't forget that ! Chris DUMBO Brown-like !

  30. 30

    r.i.p., Whitney ……………………………

  31. 31

what scum he is! when she first died i was feeling a little bad for him cause I knew he would get the brunt of the blame. but after his actions these last few days F him. I'm so through with bobby. 9 people to a fucking memorial!!?! its not a club or a concert! you claimed you wanted to b e there for your daughter? then it should have been JUST YOU!

  32. 32

Re: Be-Atch – Hilton for reporting before the facts, then Brown.

  33. 33

Sadly it went from church to Bobby Brown. I am taking it back to Whitney.

  34. 34

That is appauling!! People that knew Whitney very well said that she began doing drugs long before Bobby. They may have done drugs together and he may not have done anything to stop her from doing drugs. If he was the cause then she would have stopped doing drugs when they divorced. I do not believe that is what Whitney would have wanted, he is the father of their child. He should have been allowed to pay his last respects. I believe the family have become full of themselves.

  35. 35

He should have shown up alone and sat next to his daughter. No entourage/bodyguards needed, Bobby. I'm sure you could walk down any street in the world and not get noticed.

  36. 36

Really? He left because he couldn't bring in a crowd of uninvited guests? How childish. The only "entourage" you should need for this event, Mr. Brown, is your daughter who, I'm sure, needed your support during her mother's funeral.

  37. 37

This day was about Whitney Houston and it's a shame you are trying to make it about Bobby brown. MY GOODNESS, let the woman rest in peace. Pastor Winans gave a wonderful euology. If you've never been to a black funeral STFU, you don't understand. You'll never understand. This was an excellent going home service for Whitney, one that she would have been pleased with.

  38. 38

Bobby Brown should not have being there. If he ended the relationship with whiteny. Bobby you don't love her any more why go to the funeral

  39. 39

    Re: Pacific Ocean Gal

I agree with every thing you're saying. The media is going to take this small incident with Bobby and blow it up which only takes away from the moment. Bobby DID go into the church. He touched her casket. He left the services but was NOT asked to leave. His entourage was asked to leave as it was invitation only. Get the facts before you start spewing your bullshit.

  40. 40

I look to you was sang to Bobby Brown by Whitney Houston

  41. BOH says – reply to this

    41

It would be like having Satan at a Christmas party.

  42. 42

I would just like to say that nobody seems to be taking into account that Whitney was blessed with one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard; she was also one of the most beautiful women physically that I have ever seen. Yet, this wasn't enough for her. To me, she was self-centered and only cared about fulfilling her own needs, that of being high, whether is was drugs, sex, booze, etc. She was not a good mother, so people need to stop saying that she was. She sucked. The terrible part of it all is that Bobbi Christina can't stop loving her, and that's what hurts the most. She will always love her. I am glad that she has sold so many alblums since her death. Bobbi deserves anything she gets monetarily for loving that selfish bitch.

  43. Cpink says – reply to this

    43

HE should be allowed yes, but 9 extra people? thats ridiculous! and the fact that he left after they were not allowed in is just disrespectful! This was not suppose to be about him or anyone but Whitney. What a tool.

  44. 44

can these comments get any more racist? your so-called "entourage" was actually bobby's CHILDREN, all of whom LOVED WHITNEY AND WHITNEY LOVED THEM. she publicly acknowledged them and referred to herself as their stepmom ALL THE TIME. those who jump to conclusions should re-read your posts and then evaluate just how unkind cissy houston really is, along with dionne and the rest of that clan.

  45. 45

So, him and his fiance and his SEVEN other children? Regardless, it's a funeral, you all act like you've never been to one? There's always some family drama happening, that's just how it goes. Everyone's grieving, power tripping, trying to do what's "right" and "proper". If Whitney was my child I probably wouldn't have loved BB either. Would you have? Regardless, drama is totally the norm at funerals in my experience anyway.

  46. 46

YOU DONT TAKE 9 UNINVITED PEOPLE TO A PRIVATE FUNERAL its unfortunate he had to go thru this but what did he expect u go by urself or u dont go

  47. 47

Yes you can be introduced to drugs but when it comes to choices you can turn them down or do them! Whitney is accountable of her own self destruction that was her choice of drug! Im sure Bobby didn't put the crack pipe to her mouth. Even though he's an ex he's still family! He has a daughter with Whitney Houston he has the right to support his daughter she's 18 an adult its no custody battle that would be a different story! They treated him wrong & God dont like ugly! Depise his past we are not perfect this is someone he will never get back or see ATLEAST let him have his peace especially for the sake of his daughter

  48. 48

Whitney Houston's Family Just Have Some Hate For Bobby Brown There Were Hundreds of People There. Its Not Fair That They Didnt Let Him And His Family in, when it was clear in the photos taken, the only people with him were his kids, Landon Bobby Jr and Laprincia aswell as Bobby's brother. Bobby Brown only was allowed to bring 2 extra people but the man has four other kids that dont add up. Whitney's Family Was WRONG AND UNFAIR IN THIS SITUATION, BOBBI KRIS WOULD HAVE MOST LIKELY WANTED HER FATHER AND SIBLINGS BY HER SIDE BUT THEY DIDNT MAKE ARRANGEMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE THAT.

  49. 49

I MADE A COMMENT TO MY FAMILY A FEW DAYS BEFORE WHITNEY`S FUNERAL THAT BOBBY BROWN WOULD COME TO THAT FUNERAL AND DO SOMETHING TO MAKE HIM SELF STAND OUT..BOBBY HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO BE UPFRONT ANYWHERE HE APPEARED TO THE PUBLIC..HE ALWAYS WANTED ATTENTION..BUT ITS SAD HE CHOSE TO DO IT AT WHITNEYS FUNERAL..REMEMBER THIS IS THE SAME MAN THAT SPIT ON HER ..I HAVE NOT HAD LOVE FOR HIM SENSE…..BOBBY BROWN YOU SHOULD BE ASHAME OF YOURSELF..BOBBI KRISTINA NOW HAS LOST HER..SHE HAS NO PARENTS NOW YOU BEEN DEAD ALONG TIME AGO ..YOU JUST DONT WANT TO LAY DOWN..

  50. 50

oh please. Bobby came with 9 people. they had only made place for him and three ppl. the church seat only 300 and they had to cram 1500 in. it was utter disrespect of Bobby to come in with his posse. he received an invitation, the invitation im sure stated how ppl they could accommodate, so him coming in like that was just him being himsef-foolish. it was not about him, it was about whitney. if he loved her, he would have stayed at the funeral instead drawing attention to himself. stupid. his daughter needed him but he was just too full of himself.

  51. 51

    R.I.P baby gurl..sleep well..LOVE U ALWAYS

  52. 52

You know I'm sure Whitney and Bobby had a great time together. I know , when My boyfriends, husbands did things together, they weren't twisting my arm to do it. And when it cam time to stop doing those things, I stopped ,they didn't, It wasn't my fault they didn't. I did my best to get them in therpy at the time. Nothing worked. Now at this time . I've got one friend that took my advice is alive, and the other choose the road, like he didn't know me anymore, now he's dead. He was doing drugs before I met him, but I tried to get him to stop. What I'm tryin to say is some people don't want to stop. It wasn't Bobby Browns fault. It was Whitneys . She owed it to her daughter.

  53. 53

the daughter looks like him poor girl

  54. 54

    what a diva

  55. 55

Re: hellozio – know for a fact that you are not a black person because you are trying to hard to diss the girl and talk about her looks. her looks are african and us. we like her looks so maybe you should just go around looking at ONLY those who look FABULOUS, you know, like YOU!
