Tyler Perry's Speech At Whitney Houston's Funeral

| Filed under: R.I.P.Whitney HoustonSad SadTyler Perry

A very sad day, indeed.

Check out Tyler Perry speaking about his relationship with Whitney Houston at the singer's private funeral held in New Jersey today (above).

Beautiful, passionate, and just so clear how deeply he cared for her.

R.I.P. Whitney.

Loved it. I didn't know he was so spiritual/religious.

I watched the funeral almost in its entirety, but never once did I hear that she was a good mom. Did no one talk about anything else other than how popular a singer she was or how good a Christian she was?

Re: sorta kinda – I thought the same thing. And when Tyler Perry said the best thing about her, more important than her singing, I was certain he was going to talk about Bobbi Kristina. Instead, he talked about the Lord. Bobbi Kristina Who? I found that tasteless and cruel. Surely God is not so needy as to trump this heartbroken girl.

Only a lowlife bottomfeeder would put a commercial in front of a eulogy. You fuckface are truely one disturbed bottomfeeding lowlife.

Re: RossiRe: Rossi – Exactly what I thought he was gonna say, too! Poor girl. And I hear they plan on putting her in rehab for 60 days. WTF?

Please explain to me where in the bible it says Gods plan is for you to abuse your god given talent with booze and drugs, become a craptastic role model to your child and die a premature death in a Beverly Hills hotel bathtub ??? What version of the bible is that because I never saw it in 15+ years of catholic education….but in her death I can name at least for of the 7 deadly sins !!!

Re: sorta kinda – the kid has been hospitalized 2 since her mothers death for the euphemistic LA problem of "exhaustion" aka drugs !!

Re: redsonja1313 – Typical, to miss the point using your experience of 15+years. Maybe you should read your bible more often and not speak of your 15+ years of experience because it obviously isn't doing YOU any good since your easily passing judgement on a person lifestyles. I guess if WE were all sinless, Jesus never really had to die for our sins in the first place, yet he did, so what exempts Whitney's sin. And whatever happened on her death bed was between God and Whitney regardless of the 7 sins you proclaim you see. Maybe you should be praying more for wisdom and understanding before commenting especially when referencing the bible because you definately are not representing the right content or lined up to God's words in the bible.

Re: ladykepola – Bravo. Well said. The woman was trying. Very hard. She made lots of mistakes and bad choices, especially concerning her daughter. But she is dead now, and we are not the ones to judge. I just hope Bobbi gets the help she desperately needs. She should have been taken away from her parents when she was still a toddler and they were doing drugs in front of her. But that didn't happen. We could find anyone or everyone to blame, but what's the point now? Let us just keep praying for that child so that she may have a better life than her mom.
