Madonna Puts On Her Own Whitney Houston Tribute
Madonna wasn't one of the many celebs who were invited to Whitney Houston's funeral, but that didn't stop her from remembering the late singer.
On Friday night Madonna, went to a place called Mister H in the Mondrian Soho hotel, where she showed up with a large group of her background dancers.
"Madonna was sitting down, watching as her dancers showed up their skills. When the DJ began to spin Whitney Houston's 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody,' Madonna perked up and started lip-synching the words."
She then noticed that her private area was cutting off a lot of the dance floor for everyone else… so she told her security crew to make the space smaller so everyone could dance!
Wonderful!
Madonna! Give us a call and we'll come dance the night away with you!

its a beautiful homage. she was sitting down with friends. and soon as music played she stand up and started to celebrate whitney music… and her friends too. she could ignored the song but no… whitney wanted to be remimded for her music and not the hard life so… madonna was celebrating her music…. she could ignored it but she didnt want so…. she and her friends created like a circle and danced and sing whitney song… beautiful and simple

Madonna and Whitney are the 2 greatest divas. Madonna being the best female performer and Whitney the greatest singer. They've always had a mutual respect for one another and although both have had their share of so called "beef" with their peers they've said nice things about each other throughout the years.
I don't think this was a tribute. Also the media bringing up Madonna's name while speaking about how legendary Whitney is makes me mad. Whitney had the best voice ever and Madonna can't sing. Ridiculous.

Madonna has gotten so weird now-a-days. I watched a recent interview of her on the Graham Norton show and she doesn't even look people in the eyes when she's talking to them. She's a freak.

I would have liked to see Madonna issue a statement too, not everybody has to follow the crowd. So Madonna was singing her song. I think it’s really sweet. I am sure she’s had plenty of conversations and mourning in her own privacy. You’ll probably hear more from her on the subject in time. And yes Whitney had the best voice in the world, but it has nothing to do with Madonna as an artist. This is exactly what was said at Whitney’s funeral. Ridiculing and putting down other entertainers. She’s not been gone but a week now and people are already back to this shit. I mean stop it. Mourn Whitney, celebrate Whitney and leave Madonna alone.
