Part of me? You mean like her v__?

too bad she didnt release peacock.. then she would have had 6 #1 singles from an album… I'm sure this song won't qualify because it wasn't a part of the original release of teenage dream… Sux For Katy!

Really, i mean, how fucking many no. 1 slots are out there. On any given day, you proclaim so kind of no. 1 hit/record breaker of one of your favorite horrible musical acts. Madonna is no 1 on some kind of chart, whitney is no 1 on another, and katy is no 1 on yet another. Gaga i'm sure is no 1 on a couple charts. So, the question is, why are charts even relative when they have become just like studies…you can always find one that will tell you what you want to hear. GAY!

Re: hoochpit – The Billboard Hot 100 is the only one that matters, basically. The rest don't really account to anything. But I honestly do not see this woman's appeal. She is such a crap singer.

this song is crap haha. Her fans… i don't understand them.

Forget the Grammy awards people, Katy Perry has got to be THE most popular musician in the whole music industry these days. Katy almost got a 6th "Hot 100" #1 hit with "The One That Got Away" from her Teenage Dream album. It made it to #3.

Now she has yet another #1 hit for "Part of Me". She started at #1 in the "Hot 100" too. That's kind of rare. She's done an amazing job in just 3 or 4 years. I think she's had 7 or 8 "Hot 100" #1 hits from her first two albums.

She might have even more if she released more singles. She has about 4 or 5 other songs from her two albums that I think should have made at least the top 10 of the "Hot 100".

Bottom line …. KATY PERRY RULES !! She's taking over the music world. I hope she can keep this streak going for another 10 years at least.

Getting quite sick of Ms. Perry.

Re: someguy2621 – Katy Perry is NOT a musician for fuck sake. She tries to be a singer. Barf.

Oh good God…why do people eat this stuff up? It's not even that good of a song.

Re: edmonton – So do you only listen to musicians with "perfect" singing voices who can shatter wine glasses like the opera singers do or what? Maybe you just don't LIKE the pop or the pop/rock music genre that Katy Perry does.

On most of Katy's songs she's not even TRYING to sing perfectly like Whitney Houston or Celine Dion. Ever listen to Gwen Stefani from "No Doubt"? She doesn't try to sing perfectly either. Gwen sings in her own unique way and her fans like it. Same thing with Katy Perry.

Lots of pop music and rock music stars don't sing perfectly ON PURPOSE so that they sound unique and they can "make a connection" or "resonate emotionally" with the listener. That's way more important than perfect pitch and tonality and so forth.

Kurt Cobain was hugely popular in the "alternative rock" group "Nirvana" in the 1990s and he was screaming into the microphone on most of his songs. He was a huge success with Nirvana because his music resonated with listeners on a bunch of levels. Certainly not because he was a perfect singer. He was a "good enough" singer though.

That's what Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl was saying in his acceptance speech at the 2012 Grammy awards show where he won 4 or 5 Grammys with his new band "Foo Fighters".

    Re: someguy2621
Yeah, I hope she keeps this streak going, too.
Then all of the 8-11 year old girls who are currently starving themselves to look like this fucking cover - no way the bitch is THAT skinny - will all be red-lipstick wearing single moms who decided to "go all the way tonight… no regrets."

The fact that this idiot supports photoshopping, and participated in a video in which she ended up as an ANIMAL BITCH who couldn't live without her "baby boy's poison"… Well, it kinda makes me wanna punch her in the face. She's bringing the collective IQ of women everywhere down 20 points.

And please, check out her recent cover of Vanity Fair, and then check out this photo. And THEN check out a photo of her just standing around, and you'll see REAL DAMNED FAST why pop skanks like THIS are destroying the self-esteem of girls everywhere.
WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO "JUST BE YOURSELF" ?!

The sad and pathetic irony is that she likely believes she's being a "role model."
Well, if by setting an impossible physical standard and releasing music which makes t'weens wanna have sex and wear pleather and lipstick, she believes she's being a "role model," well then I guess she's being a role model.

Oh, and yeah… having #1's on the charts, thousands of downloads, and a bunch of folks salivating over your next single doesn't really make you a personal "success."
Unless, of course, you're a shallow piece of shit who views "popularity" or "wealth" as a success.

    Her marriage just ended.
She has a codependent relationship with her parents, and quite obviously a few religious issues.
Kids in grade 5 love her, but most adults with a brain in their head think she's crap.

I wouldn't exactly call that "success."

  13. 13

the song is crap but its catchy it gets in ur brain

  14. 14

katy payola rules!! love it!! payola forever!! lollllllllllllllllll :-)

@someguy2621 you make absolutely no sense. No one "Sings perfect" obviously there isn't one specific type of voice that is correct and everyone tries to sing like. All artists have their own style and yes some have better voices than others. No one is saying that we all want people who sing Opera an can shatter glass however if you are a PROFESSIONAL singer you should be able to sound at least DECENT when you sing live. This woman cannot sing and not to mention this song is terrible. Her 8 year old fans just buy and request anything she releases no matter how bad a song it is. No one is saying there isn't a place for pop music in the world and its fun and upbeat however to claim Katy Perry is some kind of legendary singer is frankly disgusting. She's terrible and her time will be up soon.
