Way to go, "MARRY-LAND!!"

The beautiful state just passed their marriage equality bill, getting them one step closer to becoming the 8th state to get it right and welcome same-sex marriage legalization!!!

Equality won with a 25-22 vote, and supporters everywhere are JUBILANT!!

Oh and don't worry about the gov'nah not signing it into law… Gov. Martin O’Malley has already said he plans on giving it his signature next week!! WooHoo!!

The wonderful man says:

Maryland will now be able to protect individual civil marriage rights and religious freedom equally. The common thread running through our efforts together in Maryland is the thread of human dignity; the dignity of work, the dignity of faith, the dignity of family, the dignity of every individual.

Welp!! We're definitely adding MD to the list of places to visit, LOL!!

Their tourism site has us super innerested in sailing on the Chesapeake Bay!!

I'm glad they're a step closer and I support the gays' right to marry. Number one, Mario, you're making the LGBT look bad by the way you write like you're in fucking kindergarten. No wonder they get stereotyped as overemotional! YOU keep enforcing it. Number two, you're NOT funny. "Marry-land" and "gov'nah" is a desperate attempt for people to "get" you. The LGBT have way better people to look up to than your two-faced ass.

While I fully agree with the decision to pass the bill, I hate you. Don't insult my state by talking about it, or visiting. We don't want you.

Way to go, Maryland! Your state has taken a positive direction toward tolerance and is now an example of progress that other states will look to.

I'm from Maryland and I'm proud of my state but for the love of god do not ever call it "Marry-Land"

I hope this boosts their economy, which is icing on the cake that is gays finally getting their civil rights enforced.

Oooh, another dominoe; and once they start to fall, they don't start falling back the other way. It's how it goes.

All children deserve the opportunity to live in a loving, caring, committed, and stable home, protected equally under the law. The common thread running through our efforts together in Maryland is the thread of human dignity; the dignity of work, the dignity of faith, the dignity of family, the dignity of every individual. Thanks to our elected leaders, clergy and faith-based leaders, community leaders, civic organizations, civil rights groups, and citizens from across our state, Maryland will now be able to protect individual civil marriage rights and religious freedom equally." - Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley.
