Hubba, hubba! Good for you Jean!

For his role in The Artist, Jean Dujardin, just walked away with the Oscar for Best Lead Actor. He had some tough competition from Brad Pitt and George Clooney, but in the end, the quietest man in the room took away the gold!

Congrats, gorgeous!!!

This is a shame. They treat us like shit when we go over there and hate us. What do we do? We give and american award to a non american and worse, a frickin frenchmen. F- u academy.

Re: Cha_Cha_the famous – You're a fucking moron . I'm sure you've never even been to France. They are lovely people and extremely polite to Americans. Stop fucking regurgitating lame cliches you ar everywhere else. Moron.

An AMERICAN film should have won. Enough is enough. A total slap in the face to America.

I think that Clooney and Pitt split the votes…combined with Academy voters who disliked the way Pitt treated his ex wife, then I think that the third guy won…..I can't imagine Bradd Pitt getting the award anytime soon…at least not without a serious mea culpa to Anniston…and he's not a big enough person to give a public appology…..sorry that's just my take on it.
I'm just saying that if half of the academy voters are Men,Then the other half are women, and face it Anniston has been EXTREMELY Classy about that mess. She could have just pulled her inner bitch out of the bag…but she kept her locked up…

He did NOT deserve to win! He didnt speak a Single word through that entire movie. How can a performance truly be judged with no speaking role?
I think The Artist as a film was great and happy it one best picture, but this guy should not have won the Oscar over brad Pitt and clooney. Wtf!!

As a French girl, I can say that everybody loves him here and his oscar is well deserved. We feel so proud of him.

    I'll try to be objectiv
    Re: boston61
Maybe it's time for you to understand that OSCAR are for "movies", and movies can come from somewhere else than USA..
    Re: alechaas30
I think the best actor is judged on his performance, not only on what he said…(mainly, texts are written by someone else no ? ) and in this kind of movie, all the creativity of the actor is to use the body langage, it's what judges understood
    Re: Cha_Cha_the famous
Maybe it's hard to say that just because of some politic decision (like not going in Irak, or not supporting USA in some debats) but don't merge politicians and civilians, don't generalize your ideas ’cause you met some badass. They are lots of people in France, as in USA, and you can find some friends there

He reminds me so much of Kevin James.

He gave a fantastic performance and by not uttering a word made it all the magical. Good for Mr. Dujardin. Truly well deserved.

Holly Hunter won an Oscar for Best Actress for "The Piano" without uttering a single word in the film. Obviously you don't know shit about acting.
