Jonah Hill Teams Up With Brad Pitt And James Franco For A True Story

| Filed under: Brad PittFilm FlickersJames FrancoJonah Hill

Hill Pitt Franco need oscars

Jonah Hill got a taste of what it's like to be nominated for an Academy Award this year and it looks like he wants another shot to win one!

The actor has re-teamed with Moneyball star and producer Brad Pitt for True Story, a real life drama about a disgraced New York Times Magazine writer who is faced with the task of unraveling the mystery behind an accused murderer using his identity while hiding from the law in Mexico.

Jonah will play journalist Michael Finkel and James Franco will play Christian Longo, a man who was on the FBI Ten Most Wanted List for allegedly killing his family.

Although we're thrilled to see two of Judd Apatow's favorite goofballs getting serious on screen, we're a little bummed that Brad Pitt's beautiful face will be hidden behind the camera as a producer.

This sounds like a great project and we can't wait to see how it turns out! Do U think this film has potential to give either Hill or Franco their first Oscar?

I like Jonah Hill and I'm glad he's moving on to (slightly) bigger and better things. But in no way is he Oscar-worthy material. Some of the Oscar nominations were pure shit. And no matter how good Jonah was in Moneyball, that FILM didn't deserve a nomination. This new project sounds like a step in the right direction, and actually interesting.

Are you kidding me futuremrslabeouf? Honey I don't know if you should be commenting on acting as your name contains one of the most mediocre actors in Hwood. I agree Jonah did not deserve an Oscar but your out of your mind if you think that movie didn't deserve a nomination for Pitt and picture.

Re: Cha_Cha_the famous – We're not talking about Shia Labeouf, who I agree has personal problems and isn't Oscar material, but I didn't say he was, did I? And if having an opinion makes me "out of my mind," then yeah, I'm out of my mind, and then so are you, because you have the opinion that Moneyball deserved the nomination.

James franco is perfect for that role because he's a dishonest human being. He makes things up about himself in such an unhealthy way, blurs the lines, and plays the card of ambiguity, just like the character he's going to portray. the good news is: he won't have to do a lot of research for that part because he likes hiding the truth and enjoys being insincere with other people. He's the kind of guy who believes he's so boring inside that he needs to shakes things up so that people will take interest in him. He had a really sucky career start (bad acting, bad movies) then realised that the only way to have people look at him is to feed rumors about himself. I've never seen someone who was that narcissistic in my life. How can he care so much about himself and so little about other people? that guy just doesn't care. And he is writing a book about his life as an actor. He behaves like a constant "victim" He blames the world "oh poor me, oh it's so sad for me, it's not my fault, it's other people's fauIt, me, me, me, me , me, poor immature me". I think he needs to understand that the problem is inside him.

And i recommend that he should stop consuming so much pornography or obsessing about james dean and river phoenix (people who he will obviously never meet) because all of those things are incredibly revealing: he's a constant voyeur and spectator of other people's lives, therefore he is not living his own life. He should let go of his unsuccessful teenage years, get over it and move on!
