George Lopez Is Returning To The Sitcom World!
Yay! George Lopez is back on his feet with a new sitcom!
The former late night host has inked a deal with Debmar-Mercury for a new show about a Latino family.
Here is the deal: that G-Lo's new series will make 10 episodes for a straight to series order. If they hit the right ratings, that order can skyrocket to as high as 90 episodes!!!
This strategy has worked with Debmar-Mercury's other shows, Tyler Perry's House of Payne and Meet the Browns, and Ice Cube's Are We There Yet, all minority based shows.
The best part about the show? G-Lo will own it!
Here's hoping for more success for George Lopez!
