Remember that development deal Dane Cook inked with NBC last fall? We knew he was putting together some kind of a half-hour comedy show for the network, but weren't sure what the details were. Well, now we got them!
It's been announced that the comedian will star in Next Caller Please, a single camera comedy (Yes! No laugh track) focusing on a grouchy, misogynistic radio DJ on a satellite radio show (Cook) and his his feminist co-host, played by actress Collette Wolfe.
For those who aren't a fan of Mr. Cook's humor, you can breathe a little sigh of relief because Weeds producer Stephen Falk wrote the pilot.
However, that doesn't mean he won't be writing future episodes…dun dun DUN! AHHHHH!
We kid, we kid. As long as it's not as bad as his controversial stand-up comedy appearance at the Laugh Factory in January, we'll give this show a shot.
Do U think Next Caller Please will be a good addition to NBC's comedy line-up or will viewers be asking the network,"next pilot, please?"
