John Mayer has burst into fiery wonder and emerged from the “shadows,” true phoenix style.

After a loooong hiatus, the pop/easy-listening master of mellow has recently been teasing fans with song snippets and cover art for his upcoming album Born and Raised and he is FINALLY delivering something substantial.

This week, John leaked the FULL version of his track, “Shadow Days” on Cities97 Radio, although the song's official release date is March 6th.

    It is not a leak. A leak implies that someone put it out without publishers permission. It is just a marketing ploy.

    The cover art looks a lot like the Dark Tower series. Is he trying to be a gunslinger now?

    YESS! It's so good to have new music from him! And to question originality is stupid, barely anything is truly original anymore. But what does that matter, its John effing Mayer. He's a brilliant song writer, a brilliant guitar player, and he does what he wants and says what he wants and knows that his true fans will appreciate and love it no matter what.

    It's got a velvety smooth groove. Does he do all his vocals solo? I hear harmonies on the chorus in my head.
