Just when we thought things couldn't get any worse over on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
But that wasn't the case!
Times are tough - even for Hollywood!
As we've reported, many new film projects have been terminated and/or delayed due to financial constraints, including Universal's projects with Tom Cruise and Ron Howard, Disney's Lone Ranger, the proposed Paradise Lost adaptation - and now, it appears that Paramount's reboot of the Jack Ryan franchise - with Chris Pine assuming the role of the C.I.A. hero - has also bitten the dust…for now!
Although the studio apparently loved the latest draft of the screenplay of the Jack Bender-directed project, currently titled Moscow, they are apparently holding off until the actor wraps production on Star Trek 2, and asking for some new edits to the writing that would help reduce the budget significantly!
Yeesh! We guess nothing is safe these days!
And this has been on the table for a few years now!
Here's hoping it can finally get off the ground - and work out, despite the money constraints!
