Thankfully, it turned out to be harmless!!!
The Magic Kingdom was turned upside down when the bomb squad was called in after a suspicious package was found near the ticket booths at Disneyland in Anaheim, California on Saturday.
A guard had seen the object around 7 AM during the morning walk-through, which prompted him to call the police.
The gates to Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney were shut down and nobody could enter or exit the parks for hours.
Luckily, the object was cleared as it turned out to be a rolled-up piece of paper with some kind of message on it. It was part of a geocaching game and was considered to be harmless.
After about 11 AM, the parks reopened, which prompted Disney to keep their parks open an extra hour that night to satisfy guests.
The crazy part is that this was the first time Disneyland had been shut down since 9/11!!
So glad it turned out to be nothing and nobody was hurt! Phew!
Disney's had a CUH-RAZY week with "One More Disney Day" and other events. Give those cast members a break already!!! It is the Happiest Place on Earth, after all!!!
