Will GCB Still Be A Hit After Its Sunday Night Debut???

| Filed under: TV NewsKristin ChenowethBusiness Blitz

gcb debuts on abc

We hope so!

GCB premiered on ABC last night with 7.6 million total viewers and a 2.2 rating in the adults 18-49 demo.

The Kristin Chenoweth-starring show definitely could have had a stronger debut, but we're thinking it will pick up! Audiences were probably too busy checking out The Lorax to give this new series their full and undivided attention!

On a more positive note, GCB brought in more viewers than The Apprentice (7 million), and we're hearing that the series' premiere gave ABC a FIVE-MONTH HIGH in the 10 p.m time slot!!!

Come on, people! Show Cheno UR support and be sure to check out GCB next week!!!!!!!

Did U tune in for the series premiere of GCB? What did U think of it???

I dont know. I'll watch it again, but not sure if I will make it part of my Sunday line up yet.

I hope it beats the apprentice in ratings very soon so that big orange oompa loompa can shut his pie hole!

too much hype. Thought it'd be far more hilarious and camp for all of the hype, but it turned out to be.. meh. Hoping it will eventually find its groove, but the premiere wasn't enough to grab me. How long can they sustain the whole mean girl thing and expect people to stick with it? I found it a bit of a waste of the talent.

As a person from Dallas, I hate it. I don't know who these characters are supposed to be portraying, but I have never know anyone like them…and I am glad. Catty, snotty, materialistic…sheesh!

It was a little slow - but most first episodes are as they set up the premise. If they move cautiously, it has a lot of potential. Chenowith was great!

I'm on the fence about it. I liked the premiere enough to watch next week's episode but I'm not sure it's going to hold me. It seems like it might get tired very fast.

Stupid theme and that chick is weird looking.

Love Kristin. Hate the concept. Why not call it Good Muslim **itches? WHY? Because that would not be PC. OK to make fun of Christians. Not OK to make fun of other religious, especially ones who threaten to cut off your head or blow you up, as recently admitted by a high ranking British politician.

I love the show, love seeing Annie Potts in a tv series again! And loved her no nonsense character. The show was funny and had drama, the two men holding hands under the table was great! I think this will take some time but it will catch on and be as popular as Desperate Housewives was. As for it picking on Christians…well lets face it picking on Catholics was so last decade, and well point blank if most Christians were not such hypocrites no one would make fun of them.

Did not see it, but was very annoyed by your pop up ads for this show the last week.

I love the show!! Its hilarious, sarcastic and over the top….I absolutely love it! Can't wait for ghat awful Pan Am to go away.

Hmm…the second half was much better, so I have hope. Honestly, our household is giving it one more episode. Seems like all the wacky circumstances were avoidable–and while heroine at NM herself she didn't think to ask who the admirer was? And if all these girls are supposed to be the same age I'll eat my stetson. Cheno was awesome, however–but given how sympathetic we are to the heroine I wont be forgiving of Cheno's antics for long.
