Reba McEntire Cherishes Every Day Since Her Band's Tragic Plane Crash

| Filed under: Oprah WinfreySad Sad

If you watched Oprah's Master Class on OWN last night, you saw just how devastated Reba McEntire STILL is to this day after losing her band in a tragic plane crash 20 years ago.

In 1991, eight members of the country star's band and crew were killed when a plane collided with a mountain near San Diego, California due to low visibility.

We couldn't imagine a loss that big and completely understand how it would still affect Reba to this day, but she still manages to turn a negative into a positive during her very intimate interview.

Calling the accident "the worst thing that's ever happened" in her life, Reba admits, "I don't guess it ever quits hurting." That hurt, however, is driving her to live her life to the fullest in honor of those she lost by cherishing every day as if it might be her last.

Check out the excerpt from the emotional interview above and "don't go a day without telling people you love them!"

The worst thing about it is she wasn't on that plane. Imagine not having to suffer through the horrid syndication ads for Reba

Re: In_Mileys_NoonerholeRe: In_Mileys_Noonerhole – I pray that one day you willl find a way to not judge others as a way to overcompensate for your inaccuracies. That was truly a horrid comment and you should be ashamed.

I have respect for people who been through tragedy and still maange to live their lives ánd try to teach others to also live.
I was very moved by this 'interview'. It helps us to remind us that life is fragile.

For In_mileys_Noonerhole I just have to say this: You need to learn when it's appropriate to make jokes like you tried to make and when to shut your mouth if you have nothing else to say but bs. The least you can do is show respect for Reba McEntire and if not for her then for the people who lost theirs lives in that planecrash.

Wow, I can't even imagine how terrible this must've been for them all. What a huge loss, so overwhelming. Reba is right, one must try to live every day like it's your last, because you never know, it might end up being just that. Carpe diem.
