First a Tupac musical, now Animal House?!

On the 30th anniversary of John Belushi's death, it was announced Monday that his most iconic flick will be headed to Broadway.

Animal House: The Musical will be loaded with talent in and outside Broadway. The score will be composed by the Barenaked Ladies and The Book of Mormon's Casey Nicolaw will direct and choreograph the musical.

Belushi died on March 5, 1982 from a speedball and friend Penny Marshall remembers the late comedian:

I swear, you’d walk down the street with him, and people would hand him drugs. And then he’d do all of them — be the kind of character he played in sketches or Animal House.

We can't wait to see how the flick translates to its Broadway rendition.

Thoughts? Do U think an Animal House musical is a good idea?

John Belushi was not funny at all; I guess if those Jewish Hollywood Mogals tells you fools over & over & over that Jim is funny you start to believe them, even though he isn't funny at all….

My brother was born within hours of John Belushi's death, in the town where he was born & raised. We've always said he's John incarnate b/c they have such similar personalities. Apparently his comedy is not for everyone, but for those that can appreciate it, he is still one of the funniest comedians of all time.

Dumb idea. Heres a better one - write something ORIGINAL.
