Kraft Pulls Ads From GCB

Kristin Chenoweth GCB Promo Picture

It seems like Kraft (it’s the CHEESIEST!) is not really feelin’ ABC’s new Kristin Chenoweth-centric show, GCB!

The show, based on the book, Good Christian Bitches by Kim Gatlin, has been drawing controversy from all over from the very start!

The food conglomerate decided to pull its Philadelphia cream cheese ads from the show, after claiming they received complaints from customers.

Kraft later backtracked and issued a statement denying any link between their decision and the content of the show. The company states that they simply want to “redirect advertising to other programs with an established audience.”

We think GCB is HIGHlarious and will soon gain that established audience Kraft thinks they lack!

This story is two days old.

oi, I bet it's those one million moms that struck again. They get their panties in a bunch over everything.

Good! The show IS offensive! As a Christian, I am truly offended. Don't really care if anyone says I'm being uptight. I'm tired of people thinking its okay to dump on Christians…but dare… dare! say anything about Judiasim or Islam and the world comes to a halt. The show must be pulled!

It wouldn't be so funny to Perez if it was making fun of gay people. "He" would be calling it homophobic and bigoted and demand we all rally up to get it thrown off the air.

    Hypocrite!

I want to see spinoffs like Good Jew, Muslim and Queer Bitches. Equal oppurtunity all around I say.

GCB is the new Desperate Housewives. So sad that DH is going off the air this year, but glad ABC found a suitable replacement!

Re: Paulie – funny how christians always brag about how they're the majority and that america is a christian nation but at the same time they try to act like they're being persecuted and victimized by the rest of america. you can't have it both ways, honey

I loved the show. It was better than watching Donald Trump's hair and washed up celebrities.

Re: Paulie – Imagine being gay and millions of Bible Thumping People come together brainwash your Family so they can abandon you because of a book written thousands of years ago? This happens everyday Kids who are gay thrown out of their houses and your bitching about some TV show?

Wouldn't be funny in the afterlife those who have thrown out abandon their children or try to beat the gay out of them burn forever more in the bows of Hell ?

If the Religious right is so pro-life then they should adopt a child from CPS its funny they oppose abortion but are pro death penalty but still kids abuse daily by oppressed priest clergy men and teachers!

I'm not Christian but I was raised Christian and I can see how this show would definitely step on some toes. I don't think my grandmother or mother would appreciate the picture it paints of church and I wouldn't call either uptight. The show did have some funny parts but I do have to say, I'm not quite sure when religion became okay to joke about like that.

I didn't find the show offensive at all… if anyone should be offended, it's the rich society women in Dallas that this show is actually poking fun at, not Christians, who get their panties in a bunch over EVERY SINGLE THING!

I do not blame Kraft. The show isn't funny at all. Initially I was extremely excited for the show, as a Texan I am well aware that the people who live in this state are filled with humorous quirks that CALL to be made fun of, and as such I watched it with eager anticipation, ready to have fun at the expense of my fellow Texans. However not once did I laugh while watching. No one who lives in Texas acted like the idiot characters on this show. This shows completely misses, and obviously has no clue regarding what real Texans are about. None. And because they so obviously don't, the show doesn't work.

If they want funny, the writers need to concentrate on attempting to portray Texan women a little closer to real life, because never has there been a group of women more apt to be made fun of. This show, sorry to say? Has 'FAIL' written all over it.

    And it will.

Re: Paulie – You can dish it but you can't take it huh? Cause the persecution that non-christians face is nothing compared to christians?
cause jews aren't traditionally the butts of jokes and aren't constantly portrayed as neurotic, cheap and frigid?? come on! you must have it sooooo hard.

Re: poorlittlerichiegirl – Boo hoo, poor Christians! They're in the majority and oppress the minority, politically, yet they bitch and moan every single time someone makes a little joke about them. They need to get the F over it! The most hated group of people in the US are atheists, right after Muslims. Guess who the least hated is - Christians, of course! Try to be an atheist and run for political office in America - you'll never make it. It's sad that someone who simply doesn't believe in a god is so ostracised. Christians need to grow some balls, because I know us non-believers have. They'll be in for a huge surprise when religion takes a back seat and their beliefs aren't given top priority in America. That will be the day!!
