Elisabeth Moss Blasts Ex Fred Armisen!

| Filed under: TV NewsLove Line

Elisabeth Moss Divorce

Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss DEFINITELY doesn’t hold anything back when talking about her ex-hubby, SNL star Fred Armisen!

Here's what the actress said about her ex during a recent interview:

"One of the greatest things I heard someone say about him is, 'He's so great at doing impersonations. But the greatest impersonation he does is that of a normal person.”

OUCH!!!

Things clearly didn’t end well — Moss says the two don’t even talk anymore! The ex-couple met on the set of SNL and got married in October 2009 and later divorced in 2010.

Elisabeth returns back to our TVs when Mad Men fifth season starts up on March 25 on AMC.

At least she has a great career to focus on!!

If this is all she said, the title of the post is HIGHLY misleading. I was ready to say how tasteless it is to "blast" someone you loved enough to marry, but instead I'll just say I hope they keep their animosity behind closed doors.

  2. 2

She really did not say anything bad about him. Your making a big deal out of nothing.

  3. 3

Awwwww. Armisen is incredibly talented and, blessedly, didn't pimp his talent out to the cult of scientology. Now he's got to put up with the ex's compliance with her cult to try to discredit him — Remember, if you're not with the cult, you're against it and they have no limits on what they will or won't do to lash out at their detractors, particularly those who've had the misfortune to know a little or a lot of what goes on inside.

Good for Fred for ridding himself of that crap!

They broke up bc he refused to join her cult! This chick is not only homely but crazy. Fred can find a nice sane girl.

  5. 5

What do you expect from a scientologist?

  6. 6

She probably has that attitude because scientology would have identified him as a 'supressive person' who is 'fair game'.

  7. 7

Scientology has all kinds of buzz words for any despised antagonist

  8. 8

I guess he would not torture and beat non-celebrity Scientologists. Has he talked about her? Is there a reason for her ire? Doubt it. She is just a vicious b*tch.

    Re: Margieieie

He already has found a nice girl…he's been dating his SNL co-star, Abby Elliot, for months now…his ex is probably just bitter!

And note to his ex, anyone who worships an evil, galactic overlord named Xenu is hardly qualified to call someone else not normal!

she looks like a stone cold bitch..

Her comment was below the belt and insulting. If she's on Mad Men, that's all the more reason for me NOT to watch it.

Re: Shamela – There's two sides to every story, we have no idea what went on between them in their marriage, and her out of all people has the right to say something because she lived it. Don't get me wrong I love Fred Armisen, and I love watching Portlandia and him on SNL, but I don't KNOW him… Maybe he is very different when there are no cameras rolling, how are you or I suppose to know that?

  13. 13

It sounds like he's kind of like Peter Sellers.

  14. 14

She's a scientologist. What the hell does she know what a normal person is?

That marriage didn't last long. Is she forgetting that she was half of the equation?

I briefly dated Fred back in the 90's when he lived in Chicago and was the drummer in a band called Trenchmouth while working a day job at a local CD store and living above the Metro with two roommates. According to how he mistreated me, I can say that he was a bad "breaker-upper" (the worst I've experienced), a player / social climber type, and downright mean spirited. When you think about it, all he's accomplished in life is having made a career out of making fun of others - mostly below the belt racial / cultural stereotypes - that is not considered "funny" (in my world at least). Elisabeth, or any woman for that matter, can do better and deserves better.
