Two Men Thrown Out Of Rick Santorum Rally For Kissing Each Other In Protest Of His Anti-Gay Policies

All we can say is HELL YES to this!

Two men were thrown out of Rick Santorum’s rally Friday evening at Christian Liberty Academy in Arlington Heights, Illinois, after they KISSED EACH OTHER after getting the attention of the crowd, in a protest of the presidential candidate's anti-gay policies!

And of course, the other attendants present just chanted "U-S-A!" as guards removed the men, who were part of Carmel Catholic Alumni Against Rick Santorum Facebook group.

Protest organizer Matt Muchowski says:

"We feel it is important to counter Santorum's anti-gay hate, to set an example to students. Rick sends a message of bullying, but we want high school students to know that other alumni send a message of equality."

Well, we're very grateful that someone is!

This campaign is an absolute sideshow, and it's truly bewildering to try and grasp how this man has ANY supporters, let alone enough to warrant their legitimacy as candidate.

EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!

Although I am moderate and have no issues with gay marriage and adoption I do not think that antagonizing someone else is an intelligent move. In fact it is counter-productive. Just as gay people feel that they should have a right to believe what they wish and live as they would like I think it is important to show mutual respect to people who do not believe as you do. It is important to show tolerance and respect or all you get it reactive anger or annoyance. I find this to be a very immature move. I associate well with very liberal and very conservative people and my allowance for them to be who they are is why. This should be more prevalent in our society.

Cobia77…I associate well with very liberal and very conservative people and my allowance for them to be who they are is why. This should be more prevalent in our society…

Well said but the same consideration from conservative/hyper religious towards liberal cannot be said. This is why people do extreme things to bring attention to their plights because they are NOT getting the respect all of us so richly deserve.

Re: Cobia777 – I see what you are saying, but without radical actions issues often get swept under the rug, or in this case, put in the closet. Women would not have gotten the right to vote without the actions of the radicals who 'made spectacles of themselves'. The radical bring the issue to the forefront and make people take a stand. Hopefully the day will come when radical action is no longer needed.

I really get sick of Libs using the word " hate" have you ever been to a liberal blog ? the hate that spud from some of those people towards conservatives is just radical. Have you watched or heard about the gay guy on this season of survivor and the racist crap that he has said? Do you ever see conservative or religious activists showing up at a liberal event and doing nutty stuff?

  5. 5

To think people are actually voting for this guy when he is anti-gay scares me…that mind-set scares me…To be anti whatever is to be anti-human….it smacks way to much of anti-black and anti-Jewish, etc….violence acted upon others due to intolerance and unacceptance. What a horrible and dangerous mind-set to have…and to think this idiot thinks he can run this country…with the diversity it brings…the BEAUTIFUL diversity this country has…the conservatives certainly do not have open-minded, progressive thinkers do they…..scary inhuman people….

Thanks for proving every "whiny" liberal's point, Santorum. Thanks a lot!

  7. 7

Re: Cobia777 – I agree 100% with everything you say. Although, they weren't doing anything illegal, it's just getting childish at this point. The guy doesn't agree with gay marriage, and although I personally don't understand why people are so against it like its the worst thing in the world, Santorum has the right to his beliefs. Just as gays feel that they don't have equal rights, it won't give them anymore rights by doing things like this and by expecting for him to lose his rights in the meantime.

Re: jedimaster12 – Absolutely - conservative religious activists often show up at liberal events and act like radicals. Surely you have seen those 'God hates Gays' signs that show up at gay pride parades. How about the vicious attacks on abortion clinics? The religious radicals always show up at schools when there is a book they don't like, or a sex ed class they think is un-christian, or a kid that wants to go to the prom not dressed as typical for their gender. This list is endless. But they are fighting for suppression. These guys are fighting for equality.

"Do you ever see conservative or religious activists showing up at a liberal event and doing nutty stuff?"

    -
Well, yes jedimaster. conservatives do nutty stuff all the time.
    Typical of Republican shit.
    -
Those Teapartiers wave the American flag.
    They dress up in it.
Thank the military. They seem to be grateful to the military.
    -
They even pick up every single piece of trash at any event they have been to and leave it spotlessly clean. Yeah, just like the Occurpy dirtbags.
All things point to loving their country. So unprogressive!
    -
Where's Hanoi Jane today? Still selling out America.
For them, it's an honor. Just like it is for Obummer, Moochelle, Orprah, etc.

    Good…Thats disgusting.

  11. 11

I know who i'll vote for.. RICK SANTORUM! Way to stand up to not only what is right, bur moral. These f*gs shouldn't have shown up to the rally. They only want attention (which by the way they don't deserve),

  12. 12

Re: jedimaster12 – an eye for an eye?

  13. 13

I'll gladly vote for Newt, Rick or mitt.
    they're certainly not my 1st, 2nd or 3rd choice.
but, that's what we have…it is what it is.
    -
I held my nose voting for mccain and will do so this time as well.
$6/gasoline will make us do things that were unthinkable once.
    -
Lots of lives are being destroyed with the collapse of the value of our homes.
    Obummer's energy policy is evil.

  14. 14

Gays are doing more harm than good when they do this. Members of the LGBT seem to have a 1 way street mindset. You're not allowed to think differently from them. You -HAVE- to accept them with open arms. They act like 5 year old children when they don't get their way. They are basically forcing you to accept them.

A lot of gay bashers are tollerent of gays. Actions like this is making it more and more difficult. If someone does not like you because you're gay. TOUGH SHIT. MOVE THE FU$# ON. Do not sit there and show up to a known anti-gun persons rally then cause a scene to prove a mindless point, it makes you and gays look like morons. It does not help your case. He doesn't like gays. Boo hoo.

  15. 15

We'll have another 4 years with a bad president. Theres half a dozen very good candidates for the states but they are literally completely unknown. Because the media and other morons waste their time looking into crap like this. This election all im hearing about is gay this gay that..GAYS ARE A MINORITY. Who the F cares about them? Adam Carolla said it best "When did we start paying attention to these people?"

  16. 16

What, no glitter? You don't speak for the voters, you speak for yourself so of course you're blinded by your own prejudices. And you are prejudiced. You think Santorum has no right to voice his personal beliefs just because it does not run parallel to yours. You are as bigoted as you say he is. It's not anti-gay, it's pro freedom of expression. But predictably you play the homophobe card. You want more than equality, you want preferential treatment. Gays will never be happy, they are born whiners (maybe that's what Gaga's song really means). These two deserved the boot, they accomplished nothing other than creating more disgust towards gays. Congrats.

  17. 17

Re: Lady Who? – Will you marry me?

  18. 18

it's seriously ridiculous that in 2012 the site of two men simply kissing would be considered shocking in any way. the hateful morons chanting "USA, USA" in reaction to two men kissing is very telling, especially since they were chanting USA while the men were being forcefully removed from a PUBLIC building. how backwards and very un-american.

  19. 19

I will never understand Americans. Freedom of speech isn't a liberty if it discriminates. Saying I hate the gays is the same as saying I hate French/blacks/Jews anything. The only thing in that list that is a choice is being a Jew. Religion is a choice. Being gay isn't something that "should be accepted" - it just is. Why are Americans so worked up over sexuality?

  20. 20

    HOW RUDE,
This was a Christian Academy, and defiantly the wrong time and the wrong place
All this does is make more people aware of just out of touch Gays are
A few weeks back you had the Marine kissing his boyfriend, which would have worked, but no they took it a step further, a step too far, and one wrapped his legs around the other guys waist, and it looked like they were getting ready to fuck like dogs on a street

    PS
MR Muchowski how many Polloks does it take ??

  21. 21

Re: cherryUGH – It's not about whether you agree with being gay or not, it's about time and place. That was the wrong time and place. When they did that, they knew they were going to get a reaction. Chances are people in that place were highly religious, so chanting USA was a pretty decent reaction considering what they could have got.

  22. 22

This is the most disgusting thing i have ever seen, they should get 25 to life for this nonsense,,,,, they will be going to hell disgusting freaks they need to pay for this…

  23. 23

Re: Lady Who? – If civil rights were EVER left up to voters, blacks would still be in shackles. Maybe you're someone who thinks that's a good idea. Fuck the voters! Rick Santorum is not preaching to a church congregation, he is running to be the leader of the largest Democracy on the planet, so no, he does not have the right to voice his "opinion" when they clearly are for unequal rights. You say gays will never be happy? Then let's try granting them the same tax laws and hospital visitation and shared pension laws that EVERYONE else has and see if that works. Until then, shut the fuck up!

  24. 24

Tell me they had on pants.

  25. 25

Re: Cobia777 – While that sounds nice on paper, it's different when peoples' rights are in question. It is simply not okay to just agree to disagree in civil rights cases like this.

  26. 26

Re: jedimaster12 – "Do you ever see conservative or religious activists showing up at a liberal event and doing nutty stuff?"

Um, how about the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr.? Was than a serious question? I can think of ten more off of the top of my head.

  27. 27

Re: NookiesWA – Listen to me when I tell you that I don't give a shit about your acceptance as long as I have the same rights under the law as you do.

  28. 28

There is a time and a place for everything. Passonate kissing between anyone, boy boy, girl girl, boy girl, it dosen't matter in public, isn't the right time for it. Espically since this was just to get under the skin of those who oppose it. Just like the Madonna/Brittney kiss a few years back, that was just to get the shock factor up. A peck on the cheek is fine in public by anyone, but the way that this was done could have done more harm than the good that they might have been trying to attain.

  29. 29

fuck all you cry baby sons of bitches. what is to be expected from people that are so full of hate and prejudice? "oh we're different… we're gay" (add own gay voice) I'm absolutely tired of ALL whining and sniveling… wha wha wha!!

  30. 30

Why are gay people so mean and nasty? You guys sound like haters, and that doesn't help your cause. The people you hate seem far less hateful than you do, so it sounds kind of silly when you spew hatred at people you claim are haters. No one sounds more hateful than you.

  31. 31

…and by the way, Perez Hilton has made a whole career out of hate-mongering. Stop being such haters, gay people!

  32. 32

Re: joethehobo – Nah, you will still find something to bitch and whine about. Lady and myself were right. You don't want equality. You want superiority and preferential treatment. Hence why members of the LGBT community that are victims of assault where their sexual orientation has nothing to do with it crying and demanding they be sentenced for hate crimes. Perez is gay, I'd like to punch him in the face. Not because he's gay but because hes a douchebag. He would be able to say it was a hate crime in order to get a harsher punishment against me, even thou him being gay was not the reason I would assault him. Preferential treatment.

  33. 33

Santorum makes me ashamed to be a Catholic American. Equality for everyone!

  34. 34

Re: NookiesWA – You have more rights than I do and you are trying to keep it that way… Um, who exactly is the one who wants 'special treatment'? How do you not see it?

Perez is a closed-minded, ignorant idiot. You don't have to tell me that. As for hate crimes, you have to prove the act was carried out because of your sexual orientation. Are there some petty cases that get through? Sure. But you have to see the reason why they're in place.

  35. 35

they have a right to want to be accepted
they have a right to kiss the one they love in public
what part dont u get ..
give gays the same respect and rights as everyone else 100% nothing less..
    ty

  36. 36

Re: perez posse member 777 – Except they aren't showing affection. They are doing it as a political statement. In a room FULL of anti-gay people. They knowingly and willingly went to a rally that supports an anti-gay guy to make out and cause a scene. Again, even straight people have the decency to not do that kind of shit. Not even straight people go to the center of a room and start making out for no reason at all. They are idiots plain and simple.

  37. 37

As someone else said…yeah, this was radical but radical is what got women the vote when no one wanted to give it to them. Sitting on your hands and being polite doesn't bring change, standing up and doing something to get attention does. You need to do something sometimes. So what if this was a stunt to get under peoples skin? Sometimes that's all you've got.
As for him having a right to his opinion, he does. And if he was a private citizen, having a private event, and they barged in to cause a scene because they happened to know he was anti-gay rights, I'd agree what they did was inappropriate. But he's not. He's running for president, he is trying to get into a position where his opinion will be affecting laws that the whole country has to live by. In that case, people have every right to protest his opinion. Freedom of speech means he's allowed to say it…but it also means they're allowed to say something back.

  38. 38

Who are the two guys in the picture? Because, I'm sure shirts were required for attendence. Why choose of photo that is obviously foreplay, and give people the impression that these two men were engaging in an extreme act of PDA when it probably looked nothing like the picture above. That sure doesn't help your cause.

  39. 39

Re: IThoughtItFirstRe: IThoughtItFirst – Before you go off on a rant on civil rights, you had better get your facts straight on which political party was denying civil rights to the Blacks!
It was the Democrats that tried to block that vote, Democrats had 117 'nay' votes to the mere 27 votes of the Republicans. And it was the Democrats that founded the KKK. Martin Luther King Jr. was a registered Republican.
The Democrats love to 'misdirect' people, but you can't change history. They even elected a known KKK leader to the Senate, Larry Bird . You don't see them bragging about that?

  40. 40

"Making out" in front of others in public is bad manners, gay or straight. You keep trying to make "intolerance" the issue, but most times, the issue is just lack of manners or bad behavior.

  41. 41

Re: jedimaster12 – Amen to what you wrote. The force be with you.

  42. 42

Re: IThoughtItFirst – You really think America is a demacrocy? Obama Signed NDAA and told Congrees to piss off. He has said he supports gays but look at his actions. He has done nothing but set himself up to be the next DICKtator. And of course, now he has created the FEMA CORPS aka the new Hitler Youth Movement

  43. 43

Re: NookiesWA – How interesting. When I shoot down your argument about special treatment, you ignore me. What does that say about your argument?

  44. 44

Re: NookiesWA – Also, Adam Corolla has been very vocal about his support for the gay community and how embarrassing it is that we as a nation do not enforce equality. Any claim of him demeaning the gay community is simply untrue.

  45. 45

Re: smithygirl – I don't know who you're babbling at, because I didn't mention either political party by name in my post, and my statements about Rick Santorum are true. Although I know some of the things you said are true, what could it be that would make you rush to such a strong defense of the Republican party? Could it be their CURRENT track record??
