Brad Pitt And Ellen DeGeneres Tour The 9th Ward For Make It Right Campaign

| Filed under: Brad PittInspirationEllen DeGeneresPerezTVFor Reals Estate

What an inspiration!

Ellen DeGeneres made the trek to her hometown of New Orleans to visit the rebuilding process of the Lower 9th Ward.

And she had an uhMAZing tour guide in the form of Brad Pitt!!!

The two celebs toured the streets and the 9th ward looks absolutely FABulous!!!! Brad was very sincere and knew the names of the residents and their life stories.

Check out the video (above) to see how far the builders and people of Nawlins have come.

There's still a looong way to go, but Nawlins is on the right track!

Brad and Ellen are great humanitarians.

So often those who criticize the most volunteer the least themselves. Anyone who can use their celebrity status or lack of "status" to help others in need is to be commended, period.

Re: GayArkansan – I agree. While most people have forgotten about Katrina and moved on to higher profile causes, Brad Pitt is seeing it through until it is healthy. Good for him - good for New Orleans.

Re: GayArkansan – And I don't get it when people complain about celebrities using their fame to get these charities and foundations known to the public. They don't get that it's FOR the (eg) foundations benefit, not their own personal benefit. And you know it's a real devotion he (Brad) has for this foundation. It's his home, it's his roots that have been destroyed. It's so clear that he realy cares about the people and the city!

Damn Bradd has really lost his looks.

This is a great story with the exception of one thing. Mr. Pitt fails to mention that the name "Make It Right" belongs to Mike Holmes of "Holmes on Homes" fame. Brad Pitt was forced to partner with Mike Holmes in the rebuilding of the 9th ward if he wanted to continue to use the name "Make It Right". That BS story about the New Orleans dad and working hard to give a good life to his kids, and then the levee breaking is a lovely story, but its not the full story.

Put an ad in front of everything? Jesus, you're such a bottom feeder.

Thats great, but for those of us who lost EVERYTHING and were from Mississippi, Alabama or other places in Louisiana it is hard to see all the attention go to New Orleans. Atleast we have done most of the rebuilding on our own and TRUELY rose above it all. Yes, we got plenty of volunteers, but not nearly what New Orleans got.
