Remember when movie stars used to be movie stars and television stars were television stars? That's no longer the case because actors and actresses are now able to jump back and forth pretty regularly.
The latest big name to transition to television is Cuba Gooding Jr.! The Oscar-winner is preparing to star in a Fox legal drama called Guilty, which is created by the same people behind ABC's hit Brothers and Sisters.
His role as William “Billy” Remz is described as:
"An ethically dubious defense lawyer who is unjustly convicted of fraud and stripped of his license. He then uses radical tactics to pursue cases he’s been banned from and spends his time trying to get revenge on the people who set him up."
Basically, instead of a rogue cop, he's a rogue lawyer. Inneresting.
More innerestingly, take a gander at who else is coming to TV town? Yeah, you
guessed it read the headline correctly — Will Smith!
Unfortunately, however, the Fresh Prince isn't appearing himself, but is producing a comedy pilot that stars singer Romeo Santos. It focuses on a young man from Washington Heights, New York "who tries to please his very traditional, immigrant father while also creating a life that reflects his new vision of the American Dream."
Singer-turned-sitcom star? Hmm…sounds familiar. If Romeo plays his cards right, he might have the same career trajectory as Mr. Smith!
Do any of these shows sound like hits to U?
