Eddie Izzard Is A Monster Munster!!
The occasionally cross-dressing British comedian is in final talks with NBC to get involved in a remake of that old school spooky family: The Addams Family The Munsters.
Eddie Izzard will produce and star as head munster Grandpa, a charming old coot who is both vampiric and a shape-shifter.
The remake of the black & white laugh-track comedy about a family of monsters will be written by Pushing Daisies’ Bryan Fuller and directed by Bryan Singer. Currently, it's being called Mockingbird Lane.
While a remake may sound questionable - after reviewing some old clips we weren’t too sure how the kitchy, out-dated comedy would translate - Fuller and Singer are completely revamping the show, apparently making it very visually interesting and original.
Hmm. We see some potential…
It could be like a comedy version of True Blood!
