Eva Longoria Is Gettin’ Political For Obama!

Who knew Eva Longoria was so politically inclined??

We’ve learned that once Eves finishes her obligatory promotional work for the end of Desperate Housewives, she’s off on the campaign trail as one of seven latin co-chairs involved in the Obama For America movement.

She will inform and engage Latin Americans and women to vote for Obama in the upcoming presidential election.

She believes:

"Obama, for me, is the only one that understands that the success of the future of America is intricately tied to the success of the Hispanic community. I'm gonna be getting out there and showing the great things about what he's done in his first term and Latinos need to hear it."

Good for you Eva!! Blaze the trail for other celebs to get out there and get involved in politics, regardless of who/what they support.

Celebrities have some of the most powerful voices in our society, why not use them for something that really matters?!

Would U like to see more celebs getting involved in politics??

What an ignorant yet attractive woman….
I really wish hollywood actresses and actors would refrain from telling us "regular folks" how to think, and how to vote. That goes for celebrity bloggers with crushes on lady irrelevant gaga too.

Celebrities hurt presidential campaigns. Sure they might get a few of their fans to vote for the candidate they support purely because that person is a sheep, but overall it annoys people to see actors and actresses get involved. Musicians have a bit more leeway.

If you look at Hollywood in general, they're just a bunch of pretty faces, that for the most part have addiction problems, eating disorders, a revolving door on their relationships, can't manage to even get ready without a stylist/make-up/hair team, and they're usually broke 10 years after their career fads. In the real world we would call them 'losers'! Why would an average person follow their voting advice??

Hollywood twats need to shut up and stay out of politics solely because they don't actually care. They don't know anything. They are simply hoping on whatever bandwagon the 'majority' seems to be on.

Considering how celebrity and pop culture obsessed society is im sure theres tons of retards out there that go "WOW my favorite actor/actress is voting for X..So I will too". Just like you have gays voting on horrible canidates solely because they are gay.

When a single thing someone feels strongly about drives them to vote for someone while ignoring other more important issues it will end in disaster. We have blacks voting for blacks, whites voting for whites, gays voting for gays..Look at the shape we are in…lmao

For celebrities to get involved with politics is just plain stupid,it's a no win situation for them
By coming out for one canadate, your sure to please some people, but piss off even more people, not good box office
I think the very best example of this is Oprah, she dumped Hillary for Obama, lost some strong women followers there'Than by pushing Obama, and later people saw what he was really all about she lost a huge part of her audience, they felt she lied to them, she should have know better

    What a stupid misinformed bitch!

Translation: Whites, blacks, asians, and everyone who is not Latino will drop the ball and just Hispanics matter and can run the country. Damn…my grandchildren will be so fucked.

I think ya'l are being silly. first off, i think it's great that celebs get involved with politics; i think it's great when anyone gets involved with politics. just cause she's promoting someone doesn't mean you need to agree, and anyone that follows blindly is an idiot. that's not your problem. i love obama and i'm voting for him come election. i'm not ignorant, but you may be for thinking so.

    liberalism is a mental disorder.

No, actually - I would NOT like to see more celebrities getting involved in politics. I'd like to see more people making the decision to vote for whoever represents what they personally believe in - be it Republican, Democrat, or Libertarian. And I'd really love to see less liberal bias on your website, Perez - you are better than that. And this is coming from a conservative who believes in gay marriage and gay rights. Start talking facts and not about who is giving interviews on Jimmy Kimmel.

As I've said before…Wow, I hope one day I'm rich enough to be a liberal and let congress throw around my extra cash.
