Is he fucking for real???? Oh, OK there, Richard Gere, now your BFF's with the Dalai Lama so Pretty Woman means nothing to you…Now i will hate him forever!!! LOL Thanks, Perez!!!!!!!!

  2. 2

Um, there was a follow up to that story. Richard Gere never gave an interview to Woman's Day Magazine in Australia. I also see you failed to even mention it was an Australian publication. Great work.

Thats like Dave Grohl saying he forgot Nirvanas first album.

You know the one that bought him a house and made him rich and famous?

he didnt forget…he just wants to be remembered for other shitty roles like Nights in Rodanthe

    He's an ass!

  5. 5

He has all the money he needs, why not come out now?

  6. 6

What an ass. Pretty Woman may be a romcom but it was excellent and I highly doubt he forgot the movie that made him and Julia Roberts more famous.

  7. 7

It seems like he remembered when he was offered his big paycheck for Runaway Bride, which by the way, was a far more silly movie. What a douche.

  8. 8

    Dude seriously?

Re: Douche Hunter – Uuummm… Dave Grohl was not on Nirvana's first album Bleach…. If you are trying to create a decent argument, use correct facts…

I don't think it was his best movie but this statement makes him a douche agree w/ everyone!

    Ungrateful prick.

    gerbils anyone?

He's right. Terrible movie. Bad script, bad story, Roberts horrible acting. Watch it again as an adult, it will make you cringe!

This is ridiculous. People are so dramatic. You know it WAS a silly romcom. The best silly romcom I've ever watched. Yes it was silly and lighthearted and entertaining. A nice relaxing movie that took no effort to watch. I don't see anything wrong about that comment, if indeed he really did say it.

Sure, it wasn't Shakespeare, but the underlying message of cross-class triumph over adversity and great odds struck a huge chord for whatever reason. That's an inspiring message. Plus it was more fun to sit through than Shakespeare.
