Mark Twain's Tom And Huck Picked Up For New Full Length Movie!

The inner workings of Twain’s imagination are coming soon to a movie theatre near you — and no we aren’t talking about Shania Twain!

Mark Twain’s two greatest characters, Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn, are the focus of a spec screenplay which Paramount has recently scooped up.

The title of the screenplay written by Andrew Burg is Huck and Finn and will be produced by Matt Lopez, Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark. The latter two recently produced the awesome-possum Rise of the Planet of the Apes which featured super hottie James Franco.

While Tom Sawyer is regarded as mainly a children’s book, Huckleberry Finn is more for adults so we’re curious how this movie will materialize. The storyline is being kept hush-hush, but we have heard the movie will revolve around Huck and Tom as adults plus the flick will have supernatural elements.

Cool!!!

Are U excited for Huck and Tom??

    A time….not so long ago…..there were movies……with original stories…..

It's always great to see Mark Twain's works shared in new ways (even though we all know the books are better!). One of the best new projects is the "Mark Twain Words & Music" CD that features Clint Eastwood as Twain, Jimmy Buffett as Huck and songs by Brad Paisley, Sheryl Crow, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, etc. The CD tells Twain's life story using quotes and songs and is a benefit for the Mark Twain Museum in Hannibal, MO. I think Twain would love all of this!

The one with JTT in it is a good movie, why remake it?

I am sure there will be some ridiculous love story to appease the tweens
