Alyssa Milano Is Returning To Television In Mistresses

Milano Mistress

Alyssa Milano has been out of the spotlight for a while now, but that may all change this summer. The Charmed actress is returning to television with a role on ABC's Mistresses.

The drama is based off of a British show that follows four women with turbulent romantic lives and will be written by Gossip Girl writer K.J. Steinberg, so we KNOW it's going to be super scandalous!

Alyssa will be joining Yunjin Kim, Rochelle Aytes and Jes Macallan as a lead character named Savannah. She is described by sources as, "a successful married attorney who spends long nights racking up billable hours alongside her attractive law partner."

We don't think producers could have picked a more sultry and seksi bombshell to play Savannah and can't wait to see how this new series turns out!

Isn't it time that Milano and a lot of others of her ilk begin to play mothers and young grandmothers? I mean, they're attractive and all that. But do any actresses today get off the slutty character and moist crotch theme shows to ever play anything but hooches, sluts, mistresses and sex-based roles? There is a big world out there. They and tv writers should explore it. And not its bigger than the forensics lab, too (by the way). HO HUM YAWN to all of these sexy-wannabe-porn shows on mainstream tv. And a bigger YO HO HUM to porno wannbe female characters heading up coroner's offices and federal investigations.

Funnily enough her former Charmed Co-star Holly Marie Combs was in the Canadian version of this show a couple years ago. That version never worked out. This show idea seems to be slowly trickling around the world, despite the fact even the original British version was pretty awful and only lasted 3 seasons because it was on the BBC which doesn't rely on advertising revenue so gives shows more of a chance to work out than other channels.
