Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles Ordered To Testify In Indiana State Fair Lawsuit!!!

| Filed under: Music MinuteLegal MattersSad Sad

jennifer nettles testimony

Yikes!! This keeps getting messier and messier!!

After denying any responsibility in the stage collapse that killed seven Indiana State Fair attendees, Sugarland's Jennifer Nettles has been ordered to testify!

In case U need a refresher course, the Fair Commission's executive director is insisting the band refused to delay the concert even though weather warnings were looking brutal!

So now Jenny has to go before the judge to give her side of the story…

Ugh! We're still feeling awful for the friends and families who lost their music-loving loved ones that day.

Tell us again… do U think Sugarland should take some of the blame?

It was an accident caused by nature so it's kinda sad that blame is being placed on individuals. Unfortunately, innocent people died and were hurt. I am sure the state fair and Sugarland have insurance to cover disasters. Instead of placing blame and spending thousands of tax dollars in the courts, the insurance companies needs to pay up so everyone can move on.

Yes. That is why they are insured. It doesn't make up for the loss of life and permanent injuries that resulted from the accident. It was an act of God but could have been prevented if the concert was canceled. Regardless of the storm, most concert goers who were trapped assumed that the stage was secure and would not collapse.

OFCOURSE they are responsible. It's a sugarland event, not a stage design event.

I don't think it was there fault because they would have gotten a lot of hate of cancelling it in the first place. It wasn't there fault that the wind did it. So its an terrible accident and its bonkers that people are blaming them. Accidents happen everyday and its tragic that people do die from them.
