Stephen Baldwin Talks Gay Marriage With Rosie O'Donnell

| Filed under: TV NewsRosie O'Donnell

Alex Stephen Baldwin and Rosie O'Donnell had a recent pow wow session to clarify Baldwin's position on same sex marriage.

Baldwin had defended the homophobic remarks of born-again-dumb-again Kirk Cameron which Rosie obviously had a problem with.

We're glad Baldwin explains himself, but he probably shouldn't of even been in such a position in the first place.

And he especially shouldn't be defending Kirk The Jerk Cameron.

"And he especially shouldn't be defending Kirk The Jerk Cameron". Um..Who the FUCK are you tell anyone who or what they should or shouldn't be defending. This is America and we have freedom of speech. If you don't like peoplesaying stuff you disagree with, fuck off back to CUba piggy and see how well your pansy ass gets on there you hypocritical piece of shit.

He actually didn't defend or say anything … this was over 2 min of listening to Rosie's monologue. She never let him say more than 3 words.

wait.. I have to pay 50% death taxes to the state if I'm not legally married to someoen I've been with 12 years? ugh.. I SO don't want to get married. This is so unfair to force people to get married just so they don't get screwed by the goverment or have their loved ones with them in the hospital

He can defend whoever/whatever he wants, Perez. You are so hypocritical and uneducated, Perez, it's amazing!

Well, Rosie talked the whole time so I really don't know what he said in the first place or what his stance is now… She's a terrible TV host.

Kirk Cameron is NOT a jerk. He's RELIGIOUS and believes what he believes. There is always another side that's not yours. Perez, you have to be tolerant too.

Born again, Dumb again? Who's being the hater now? if you're gonna do this, let's try not to be hypercritical ok. smh

Once again I have a major problem with Rosie and gay marriage, she is the worst spokes person possible
In the clip she talks about how her partner of 10 years was not allowed to share benefits, but no mention of how Rosie did not pay her partner 50% after the marriage was ended

Kirk Cameron is a Christian, therefore I can understand why he believes gay marriage is an abomination. This country was founded on principles of Christianity and the Bible. Our founding fathers did a lot of horrible things contrary to the Bible, but the foundations of the Bible still stand. And its very clear from the Bible that homosexuality is sin (just like any other sin of adultery, greed, fornication, hate/malice, etc), and God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah b/c of the prevalence of homosexuality. Its one thing to be gay, its another for our government to legitimize homosexuality by legalizing gay marriage. If you think things are bad in this country now, it'll only get worse once all 50 states legalize gay marriage. Its only a matter of time.

I find it interesting that most of the commenters of this post value the rights of a bigot (Kirk Cameron, not Mr. Baldwin) more than the people who are fighting for their own rights. Just because someone has the right to say something doesn't mean they should. You can't publicly condemn a group of people based on the way they were born and try to keep them from having the same rights as everyone else, and not expect to get some backlash for it. Back in the 1960's during segregation the racists used the same argument you are using now. It's mind boggling to me that we have people fighting for the rights of bigots to spread their bigoted opinions on tv instead of the rights of the people they are trying to keep from being seen as equal. And to think people actually say we are the immoral ones…

And just to add a little background information on Mr. Baldwin, during his stint on a reality show, he actually said very clearly to the cameras that he would rather see his own daughter shot in the head in front of him than see her denounce Jesus as her savior. But you're right, him getting backlash for bigoted comments he chose to say is the injustice here, not the inequality in our country.
