This is an interesting direction for him! And frankly, a PERFECT direction for her!

Darren Aronofsky has reportedly signed on to direct the Judy Garland bio-pic Get Happy, which will also star Anne Hathaway as the iconic actress as it chronicles her professional triumphs and private drug and alcohol addiction.

Wow!

Between this, his recently announced Noah's Arc project, and that sci-fi flick Human Nature, he is certainly keeping himself busy, isn't he?

Not gonna lie, though! We're very CURIOUS to see how he tackles this subject matter!

How about U?

Anne is the cutest and I love her films, but hadn't Judy's story been done before?

  2. 2

Great casting, but what about the singing?

  3. 3

Anne can sing WTH are u talking about??????

  4. 4

Too bad her voice won't do Judy justice. Also, why didn't they pick a natural redhead? Hathaway is all wrong.

    Prediction: Box Office Bomb!
Mario Cantone would be way better and far prettier than this ugly girl.

Hollywood no longer wants to make a profit.
This casting is as genius as Jane Fonda playing Nancy Reagan.

    No - horrible casting.

If they make this movie, which they shouldn't out of respect for Judy, Anne should not play her. She doesn't look, talk, sing, or act in any way like Garland. What's worse is that Anne is a very big person and Judy was a very petite woman.
