A mormon?? I guess he wants his own planet.

  2. 2

I am annoyed by religions that actively recruit - especially door to door.

  3. 3

    who gives a fuck? he's irrelevant…

  4. 4

Sounds like he is just changing his career path because his music career never really took off.

    I'm gonna kill myself

Oh great… so he can go try and convert people who don't need that sh**. I find "missionaries" to be so annoying. It's like the same people ringing your doorbell over and over to convert you. Ugh

It must be a hard decision to give up everything for what he believes.
I heard his popularity in Asia brought a lot of income last several months. Acting gigs in a miniseries for 25 episodes, clothing and hair product endorsement modeling, an OPM album just coming out. The money will help him for 2 years of absence in music business.

Fan around the world will be there. Wpw!

I'm sad to see him go and yet happy that he's following his heart. He always knows what right for him and stands firm no matter what. He's also leaving us a lot of new music to look forward to. His new album Forevermore that was just released in Asia is in the mail and I can't wait to hear it! Also can't wait to hear the US album he'll be releasing in the fall and the rumored EP of original songs coming out next year. He's been working like crazy and he deserves this time to focus on service and just be himself.

Takes great courage to make a move like this, I admire him. The "Forevermore" cd he recorded before he left has some killer tracks that really show off that amazing voice of his (I ordered it on Amazon). Props to you, Arch.

from the immediate audience reaction almost his entire fanbase is mormons too. Taking a few years off to travel the world will be amazing for him, but i do disagree with the "mission" to convert. Religion is genius because it provides a righteous excuse to feel superior to others. I was raised in a christian household and was lucky enough to be gay which gave me an innate insight - that it was all just a big club of hypocrites yearning to nurture their egos through a fabricated divine righteousness. Nurturing your spiritual nature is wonderful, but the route some religions offer to discover it can be damaging & counterproductive.

Who cares?! Hes not even relevant. Another failed "idol" bites the dust.

David is far from "irrelevant" or "failed" in other parts of the world… he's a huge star in Asia and has a significant latin following.

But in America, David's career was sabotaged by his crumbling label (and he wasn't the only victim of Jive) that label instructing the radio stations not to play his stuff after "Crush" was such a big hit (Jive did the same thing to Ciara). And so David left the label — voluntarily, contrary to rumor.

Anyway, he's a nice, giggly boy. And hopefully he can get a fresh start when he returns.

    He'll pray the gay away…

I'm not Mormon, but I admire David A. Those who said negative comments about David A. are those who don't really know David A. He is the most caring, humble, nice, polite, down to earth singer I've ever known. Compare to some other young singers who act stupidly, abusive, drink etc, David is like from different planet…..but he is such a wonderful person. Those who said that his music career path never took-off didn't really know David. David didn't want to compromise his musical vision by singing baby, baby kind of songs or by wearing hanging pants, tattooing his body or calf or wearing earrings etc to sell his albums. I don't think that his fans are mostly Mormon. Those Asian fans, Canadian, UK mostly are not Mormon. David will be back in two years and his fans will be stay right there waiting for him faithfully. From now till he is back I will be happy listening to his new album "Forevermore" which is on the way to my house. His music career is not over and he is relevant very relevant.
