Oh and we are SO glad they did!!!

Last night, rising British boy-band stars The Wanted performed their hit single Glad You Came on American Idol!!

Girls screamed and swooned, even the judges got in on the action.

We especially love the backing dancers from RENT.

I love The Wanted and I am an old lady can't get enough of them they are so good to their fans it is so nice to see that and they appreciate how far they have come because of their fans

My thought is, they suck!!!! What is with this new generation of boybands not dancing????? If your going to sing a dance song you need to dance. Bring back NSync.

I love them! I'm old enough that New Kids were my boy band of choice, but the Wanted brought me back to the boy band world. Max is hot. And Nathan. And I'll just hit play to enjoy the video again.

The We Can’t Stop singer interviewed with Rolling Stone magazine for their July 4th issue, and revealed her fairly liberal thoughts on drugs and alcohol.

Given her stoner reputation, we’re not totally surprised. Though, when asked to clarify her penchant for weed, she said:

"You can't ask someone that and expect them to say yes... I did a song with Snoop Dogg called 'Ashtrays and Heartbreaks,' so people can put it together for themselves."

That sounds fairly straightforward to us. Mileybird then went ahead to state that she thinks there are things much, much worse than a little bit of the green stuff:

"I think alcohol is way more dangerous than marijuana -- people can be mad at me for saying that, but I don't care... I've seen a lot of people spiral down with alcohol, but I've never seen that happen with weed."

She added:

"As long as it isn't illegal, there are far more dangerous things. And it's legal in the state of California. So I'm happy to live in California, a place where you can be whoever you want to be."

Well, Miley, marijuana isn’t exactly legal in California unless you have a prescription, so we’re not entirely sure what you mean. But, okay...

As for her transition from Disney teen idol to mature pop star, she said:
