TLC is the castle for shows we would probably never think of, we would say we would never watch, but once viewed, are undeniably irresistable, in a train-wreck kind of way - and Breaking Amish sounds like it will fit right within the palace walls.

The 10 part series follows five Amish men and women, and one Mennonite woman, as they struggle with the decision to ditch their traditional customs in pursuit of an alternative path.

Hmm…we wonder what kinds of dreams they wish to follow!

Breaking Amish joins a number of other shows for TLC’s 2012-2013 season, including a crafting competition hosted by Tori Spelling, an inside look at pregnant women dealing with serious weight problems, and Brides of New Jersey which…well we’ll let you figure that one out.

Will U be tuning in to TLC this year??

This actually could be interesting. Ive known a number of Amish and have always had a lot of respect for them. I just hope TLC handles the concept respectfully. As for the other shows mentioned - pass.

I can't figure out if this photo is more offensive to the Amish, or to women.
