Which is really good news!
It has been almost 2 years since we heard that 20th Century Fox and 21 Laps Entreatment had plans to adapt beloved children's book, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, into a "high concept" movie.
Now, it sounds like they're FINALLY working on getting this project out of development hell.
First: Lisa Cholodenko, the writer/director of The Kids Are All Right, signed on to direct the flick. Second: they're in talks with Steve Carell to take a staring roll!
our dreams will come true Steve would be playing the part of "Ben" — a character that isn't in the book. Considering the kids picture book about a boy with a shity day is only about 10 pages long, it's safe to assume there are going to be a LOT of new characters and scenes.
We LOVED the book, so we have some pretty high expectations for the film. Howeves, we also LOVE Steve!
So this may actually work out after all! Fingers crossed!
