Comedy Central has put a new series into development based on the blog Bad Advice From My Brother.
If U haven't seen the blog by Jordan Pope, it's pretty funny.
It's basically about an older brother who spends his life after college chasing money on wall street and chasing women.
He has a younger brother who wants to follow in his footsteps but he tries to dissuade him from that path with advice. Advice which is almost always terrible and hilarious.
The blog's masthead said:
"For 18 years my brother has given me shitty advice, and sometimes I’ve been dumb enough to take it. Now that I’m in college, it’s only getting worse. These are the daily emails and texts he sends me."
What's funny is the idea originally came to him as a TV pilot but his digital media agents told him he should find his voice and build an audience on a blog.
So he did just that and now Comedy Central is developing the show.
Let's just hope it doesn't go the way of $#*! My Dad Says.
