Kevin Costner Discusses Whitney Houston And Bobbi Kristina On Anderson

Kevin Costner protected Whitney Houston in The Bodyguard, but he also looked out for her in real life too. While appearing on an episode of Anderson, airing this Thursday, the actor discussed his co-star's passing and revealed he never stopped caring about her over the years.

Like the rest of us, he was on the outside looking in on her life, but when he heard she was struggling with addiction, he reached out. Several times throughout the "last seven or eight years," the actor wrote letters of encouragement for Whitney to stay sober. Whether or not she actually read them is still a mystery.

That's not all he had to say about the tragic loss of a musical icon either. Anderson Cooper asked about Costner's eulogy at the singer's funeral, during which he specifically addressed Bobbi Kristina.     Gimme a break … Kevin Costner is acting like he knew Whitney all her life and I really don't believe he had a "reach-out" program.

    Actually he said in an interview several years ago that he had written her some letters when asked if he kept in contact with her.

    Re: Shelah – He was there to discuss an upcoming mini-series. He was asked questions about her so he answered. If you watch the actual videos, it's not like he seemed anxious to talk about her.
