Scarlett Johansson's Chillingly Sexy Rendition Of Billie Holiday's Summertime!

We heard about this intriguing collaboration way back in May, but we kinda forgot about it. LOL!

So good thing they just dropped it!!

For the new movie, Days of Grace, Scarlett Johansson recorded her own rendition of Billie Holiday's Summertime! Sultry!!

But then she got a lil' help to give it an edgier feel… and in comes Massive Attack's 3D and LCD Soundsystem & DFA's Tim Goldsworthy!

It's Summertime all right… but it sounds like such a mysterious one!

And for the context of a film soundtrack, we actually like it! Never hurts to try something different every once in a while, riight??

my bf says you an idiot - the song is by Gershwin and it's def not Billie Holiday. The song is a very popular jazz standard that Billie and everyone else sang.

CORRECTION.. I'm pretty sure its George Gershwin's "Summertime" not Billie Holiday's… back in the day composers were just as known as the vocalists….yes Bille's recording was the most popular cover but Gershwin had originally composed the song for the opera Porgy and Bess and Abbie Mitchell was the first to record it.

Just FYI she recorded this song years ago in '06. It was featured on a CD called "Unexpected Dreams" way before her collaboration with Pete Yorn…

This is George Gershwin's song. It comes from the first American Opera, Porgy and Bess, which just so happens to be on Broadway right now. Billie is only one of many singers who have a rendition of this classic song.
