Neighbors Shows First Gay Kiss In Show History!

| Filed under: TV NewsGay Gay GayAustraliasticInspirationPerezTV

Australian soap Neighbors made show history this week when airing its first ever gay kiss in its 27-year run!

The lip-lock occurs at a party and is between Chris (James Mason) and boyfriend Aiden (Bob Morley).

We love that the show’s executive producer didn’t make a big deal of the kiss, wishing to display it as if it were any other couple kissing:

”It's not sensationalist or token - we are very proud of the way we have done this.”

Lovely!

Ch-ch-check out the brief, romantic scene (above)!

Strewth! What would Mrs Mangle have made of this?
I always thought Bouncer was gay anyway.

people are a lot more accepting of lesbians, seeing it like best friends kissing and not serious, it IS different for guys, and this IS being advertised as the first gay kiss by everybody, not just perez so calm down a bit

There should be openly gay kisses on all shows. Gays are a hge demographic, especially for all things entertainment. If people dont like it, they can turn the channel. Its not a big deal.

Technically, this is the first peooper gay kiss, as both characters are openly gay. Lana was gay, but Sky wasn't, and neither were Rosie and Pepper when they kissed.

I feel this post implies gay men are more important than gay women. As mentioned their HAVE been gay kisses/relationships on the show before.

Women get the short end of the stick no matter what. Lesbians already get treated like they just haven't found a man if they're hot or they can't find a man if they're not. Talk about being a minority within a minority.
