Yet another ex is in Johnny Depp's corner!
The letter, dated Friday but only revealed now says in part:
This was an absolutely brilliant move on his part - and probably one of the only reasons this casting dream is actually coming true!
As we've reported, Britney Spears is almost 100% set to sign on as a judge on the second season of The X Factor, and apparently, that's because during the contract negotiations, Simon Cowell made the very smart suggestion that her fiance, Jason Trawick, become one of the pop star's co-conservators, as he is much better suited to be on set with her during production than her father, Jamie!
"Simon is very excited about Britney joining the show. However, it's important to remember that she is still under a conservatorship and the last thing her father wants to do is be on the set for hours at a time. Jamie has conservatorship of Britney's finances and personal life. Jamie just isn't comfortable in that world but her fiancé, Jason Trawick is, because he is a respected Hollywood agent. Simon and Britney's camp agreed it would be a good idea to have Jason petition the court to become a co-conservator of Britney's personal life but he isn't seeking to get involved in her finances. Jason is also very excited for Britney to join the show. There were also insurance complications because Britney is under a conservatorship, but those issues have been worked out because it's expected that the judge will grant Jason's petition. Britney has been living with Jason and her two sons in a rental house for almost a year-and-a-half. Britney isn't in a rush to get married and will be very busy this fall with X Factor which will have its second season premiere in September on Fox."
And given his already active involvement in Britney's affairs, we imagine this won't be too much more of responsibility for Jason to undertake!
We are SO EFFING EXCITED!
Ah! Everything is going so well!
And we just KNOW gurl is going to SLAY as a judge!
Now let's just get all of those contracts signed and make it OFFICIAL! The anticipation is KILLING us!
