Oprah To Take On Life As Forest Whitaker's Wife!

Oprah Forest Whitaker Movie

Amongst her many duties at her network OWN, it sounds like Oprah will soon be taking on another role as well!

Though previously rumored, Jane Fonda has just officially confirmed that Oprah Winfrey, along with Forest Whitaker, will be starring in her new film The Butler.

SO excited to see Oprah back on the silver screen!!!!

Fonda took to her blog, writing:

"It is a beautiful and true story about a black man who grew up in the Jim Crow South and went to work as a much beloved butler in the White House through many administrations, both Republican and Democratic.”

Real-life butler Eugene Allen will be played by Whitaker and Oprah will play the role of his wife!

Jane previously announced that she will be playing Nancy Reagan and that the flick will be directed by PreciousLee Daniels.

Fonda also mentions:

“A number of well-known actors will be playing cameos as the various presidents and first ladies for whom he worked.”

Exciting! We wonder which actors might pop up???

Though there’s been some controversy over progressive Jane playing the conservative former First Lady, she promises she “will not be disrespectful” and that the film is a “true story and a touching one.”

The movie is slated for release in 2013 and we can't wait to hear who else will be joining on!
