All the News Of The World phone hacking dramz that has been scandalizing the UK is coming to America!
British lawyer Mark Lewis is planning on taking legal action on behalf of three clients who suspect their phones were hacked while on U.S soil. He'll be "looking to pursue legal action on the basis of the Foreign Corrupt Practices," which makes it illegal for an American citizen or company to pay foreign officials to obtain or retain business.
"Proceedings will be issued in the U.S. where we will seek information from the company's directors about those issues and about corporate governance."
Basically, Rupert Murdoch's News Corp. (the parent company behind Fox News) could be in serious trouble if Lewis digs up any dirt that connects the publicly held company to the UK phone hacking cases.
