Blair Witch Producer Files 4 Bankruptcy

| Filed under: Film FlickersMedia Minute

The Blair Witch Project is one of the most successful independent films in all of cinematic history.

Which is why we are shocked REPEAT shocked that the executive producer, Kevin J. Foxe, has filed for bankruptcy and claims he has only $900 to his name and has over $130,000 in debt.

How can this happen?

Well, we know HOW. Bad financial choices. Over and over and over again.

Blair Witch came out in 1999 which wasn't really that long ago, or at least not long enough for someone to reasonably blow through that kind of cash! The principal photography on that movie cost $25,000 and made over $250M worldwide!!!!

Hang in there, Foxe!

But, seriously, that sucks!

It is more scary than the movie itself! ha ha… Anyway, part one of this movie.. and I think the first one didn't need a multi-million dolllar budget is it only uses a simple camera, tent and few people.. according to the budget would not need more than a million as the first one is more relating to audiences…

Put my name on the list of creditors; I want my money back for that horrible movie they LIED ABOUT & CONNED ME OUT OF MY MONEY!

Kevin J. Foxe is not listed as associated with the film; maybe he was the Donut & Coffe Boy….

Why would you declare bk over $100,000? That's really not that much… certainly not worth ruining your credit for 7 years over.

Considering all the studios rip off the filmmakers by claiming these films never made a profit due to marketing costs, it is really no surprise that this guy got screwed. You should learn the business norms before you attack the guy for being irresponsible you schmuck faced blogging dumbfuck!
