Gotye Gets Emotional With Somebody I Used To Know On SNL!
Gotye and Kimbra are MUSICAL MASTERS of dysfunctional love!
On saturday night, the Australian/New Zealand duo amped up the emotion on the Saturday Night Live stage, performing a mellow yet touching rendition of their international mega-hit, Somebody I Used To Know.
While it may be a tad over-played at this point, you can't deny how catchy and relatable this tune is!!
Check out Gotye and Kimbra's lovely, live duet (above)!

I really like it wheh you pretend to be a music critic. It shows how stupid you truly are and I enjoy nothing more the seeing you look stupid
he's belgian actually
I love this song. Who hasn't felt that way after a relationship at some point? Kimbra is about to sweep this nation, this song is the least of what her amazing voice can do!
This is a great song. Stop downplaying talent, Mario and Minions. Just because this guy doesn't pay you to hype him up doesn't mean you need to passively dismiss his music. He's better than 99% of the shit you "admire". You really are a fucking bottom feeder.
This is the original version of this song, off the album. The radio ruined it by trying to make it uber-pop.
Good performance..needs a little dental work…
He is AUSTRIAN, not AUSTRALIAN. Get a globe.
If "Somebody" is becoming a song you wish you used to know, take some time to listen to his other music. Wally is an accidental pop star with a library of music that varies more than any artist we have seen in many years. From the funkiness of "State of the Art" to the apocalyptic "Eyes Wide Open," Gotye is a band that will be around to decades!
Oh yeah….Wally lives in Australia, has lived in Austria, but was born in Belgium, so I suppose you are all right, so no need to run out an buy a globe.
if it was that hdieous grammar chick you will be peeing yourself of excitement….
Fantastic live performance.
I love this song. It isn't overplayed like Rhianna/Drake's duet. Now that is waaaayyy overplayed. PLease tell Carson.
Re: Jason – Actually he was born in Belgium and raised in Australia. Did you not see that sketch he was in? If that was an Austrian accent I am totally confused as to what Australians sound like!
Walk Off The Earth does it better
…and have the power of epic beard man.
This song (the sound) reminds me of the Police. Not a bad thing though. Honestly I only heard the song yesterday and it was the ending half and I quite liked it so I bought the tune. I'm going to have a listen to their other stuff because I may like their stuff.
Saw them both in Portland, Oregon the other night and they were both super-energetic and exciting… amazing performances! Compared to the version we saw the other night, the SNL one is kind of a snooze.
BTW, everyone bickering about his origin… The guy grew up in Australia and has a strong Australian accent.
Re: ladybug – he moved to Australia when he was two
I'll make it easy for you guys so the discusion can stop . He's a Belgium/Australian singer.
Re: purplesprings – You are so correct. He is great but she is AMAZING. That mouth fully extended.
HE'S AUSTRALIAN! Get your facts straight. Born in Belgian, RAISED IN AUSTRALIA. He even calls himself Australian. He moved to Australia at age 2, has lived in Australia for the past 29 years. I think that makes him more Australian than Belgian.
Re: ladybug – Dental work - why? So he can look like some American clone with tombstone-glow-in-the-dark fangs?
