Despite some ominous tweets that mentioned leaving NBC, Alec Baldwin has confirmed he's coming back for the next season of 30 Rock. Unfortunately, he also confirmed that next season will be the comedy's last!
Ugh! Only seven seasons? Why not eight? Why not nine!?
Okay, okay. We get it. Seven is still a lot and it's better to go out on top with people begging for one more season than to go out on the bottom with people saying that the show should have ended already.
The actor, who plays Jack Donaghy, made the announcement on Monday while lobbying for the nonprofit Americans for the Arts at the National Press Club.
Like he said before, all things must pass and we'll be looking forward to more great things from Tina Fey (another movie on par with Mean Girls, perhaps?) and maybe it will finally be time for Alec to make his long-awaited move into politics.
