Mitt Romney Wants SNL Appearance 'To Be Funny'

| Filed under: TV NewsPolitikSarah PalinSaturday Night Live

Laugh at me america

We're pretty sure EVERYBODY wants any sketch on Saturday Night Live to be funny, but that is the only way Mitt Romney is agreeing to making an appearance on the show.

Lorne Michaels reportedly extended an invitation for the Republican presidential candidate to host the show, but an interview with Diane Sawyer on Monday night revealed that Romney was clueless.

When asked about the possibility of hosting the show, or at least making a cameo of some sort, Romney replied:

"I haven't made a decision on that, just heard about it. Of course it would depend on the nature of the skit. I want it to be funny."

As longtime fans of the show, we can assure you're in good hands, Mitt! We hope you decide to follow in the footsteps of Sarah Palin and John McCain by giving us all a great show live from New York!

You can't assure Romney of anything, ass face. Your taste in music, clothes, and TV shows sucks. SNL is rarely funny anymore, so I'd be worried too, if I were Romney.

SNL today bears ABSOLUTELY no resemblance to what it was back in "the day" .It was GREAT 90% of the time from '75 when loren Michaels put together the exceptional team of Laraine Newman, John Belushi, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, Dan Aykroyd, Garrett Morris and Chevy Chase, until 1980. By then everyone was gone and Loren called it a day. from 1980 on the show has had SOME GREAT shows but most are mediocre at best. SNL was true "MUST SEE TV" EVERYONE I knew ALWAYS made it a priority to watch the show. It did get somewhat better when Loren came back in '85.

He is a damn robot, I swear. Flip-flop to please anybody. Romney: "I think we need gun control…" Republicans: "Boo! You suck!" Romney: "I just got my concealed weapons permit!"
