Ryan Seacrest 'Deeply Saddened' By Dick Clark's Death!
We're all mourning the loss of Dick Clark, but one person in particular was extra close to Dick.
Having taken the New Year's Rockin' Eve torch in 2006, Ryan Seacrest learned an amazing amount of wisdom from the late radio and television innovator.
The two became great friends through the years, a friendship that meant so much to Ryan as Dick was one of his main influences growing up.
I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life.
Soo sad!!!
Our thoughts are with you, Ryan. We know this has to be crazy though right now…

I could NEVER stand how Dick Clark was so rude to the people he shared the spotlight with; during AB and he'd have the audience members rate the songs, if the people said anything off-script he'd dismiss them & ignore them…

So sad. He is a legend and I have grown up with his work. He brought us all some great entertainment. He will be missed. I thought of Ryan when I heard the news, I know he is crushed. He loves Dick. Clark that is. Very Sad!!!

Re: lil ang – I agree. All this fawning over this man. He was rude and disrespectful to people. My girlfriend was on the Bonaduce show that Clark co-hosted and she refused to be on the show if Dick was there. She didn't want him to disrespect her hard work. He had a habit of making fun of guests. Very uncool. They made him wait in the wings while she went on! I loved it!
