American Horror Story Goes Criminally Insane!

| Filed under: TV NewsAdam LevineZachary Quinto

It's confirmed!

Our FAVE horror/drama/dark-comedy masterpiece American Horror Story will get a 12 Monkeys make-over for its second season, which will be set on the East Coast and features a number of returning cast members. Oh, and Adam Levine.

Creator Ryan Murphy has revealed:

"It's a completely different world and has nothing to do with season one. There's not a mention of season one. The second season is set in a completely different time period. [Season two] is set…at an institution for the criminally insane that is run by Jessica [Lange]."

We already know that Zachary Quinto, Jessica Lange, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson and Lily Rabe are set to return in vastly different roles than their originals, but there ALSO might be some surprise visitors from season one!

One showrunner has said:

"There will be other people… who are not announced who will also be in it, but are playing the polar opposite of what they were in the first season.”

We are horrified…that it won’t be on until late 2012! We need us some scurrry J-Lange action, this minute!

We suppose reruns of season one will have to suffice for now…

Jessica running the Insane asylum is going to be so good…..those poor patients! I can already see her turning up the voltage on the shock treatment ALL THE WAY UP.

I think they're mucking it up too much. Too much pandering to popular opinion. You did the first without our input, keep doing your thing!

So they're going to have same actors/actresses…but completely different roles? Not sure I like that idea…
