Nelly Furtado's Got Big Hoops! Listen To Her New Single HERE!

| Filed under: Music MinuteNelly Furtado

Although she's featured on Is There Anybody Out There? by K'naan, it's actually been a few years since Nelly Furtado released a full record, with 2009's Mi Plan!

Until now!

Ch-ch-check out the singer's just-released new single, Big Hoops (Bigger the Better), off of her upcoming album The Spirit Indestructible (above)!

Definitely not what we were expecting from her!

Not an obvious smash!

Sounds more like a buzz track, don't U think??

If so, then she did what she accomplished!

We're buzzing, gurl! Can't wait to hear more from the album!

Her 1st 2 albums were great, wholly original. For the past coupla years though, she just sounds like everybody else….

Can you say disappointed? I love Nelly and was hoping for much more from this song. Not impressed at all.

is she trying to imitate Rihanna? her voice is quite annoying here… not new music

OMG! That was freaking horrible! I couldn't wait to make it stop. Expected so much more from Nelly Furtado. Wow, my ears are still bleeding.

At first I thought WTF but then I had listened to it again and thought EPIC! I love his freaken song. I can't stop listening to it. I went to sleep listening to it and woke up listening to it. It's sounds like her old style from Whoa Nelly! Like come on it's Nelly freaken Furtado she started out making music like this.

I love Nelly Furtado. Have all her records, but I'm sorry, this new single is horrendous! Sounds like a bad Rihanna wannabe. Certainly hope other tracks on the upcoming CD are a step up.

I've loved her from day 1, and still do. She plays around with all styles. This definitely is back to "Whoa, Nelly", but it shows her history of working with hip hop and has a Caribbean flare. First listen I wasn't sure, second I couldn't stop playing it. Frickin' great beat. Regarding Rihanna, Nelly has sounded like this since day 1 and has beem around a lot longer than Rihanna. They both have unique pitches…and I like 'en both so whatever.
