Steve Harvey Overthrows The Hunger Games & Zac Efron

| Filed under: Film FlickersZac EfronHunger Games

But you can guess what movie we went to see this weekend! LOL!

It was a surprisingly great few days at the box office this weekend as many flicks over-performed in sales. (See, Rich Ross! It can be done!)

As was expected, The Hunger Games was finally ousted from its firm position in first place by the Steve Harvey inspired comedy, Think Like a Man. The film brought in $33 million in its debut weekend, with Hunger Games grossing $14.5 million and slipping to third place. But with a hefty sum of grossed $357 million domestically, we don't think Lionsgate is losing that much sleep.

Which means, coming in at the #2 slot is our beloved Zac Efron and his new flick, The Lucky One. The turn out was better than expected, bringing in a nice bundle of $22.8 million.

The power of Zefron! We doesn't want to see him shirtless and wet and sweating and … wait, sorry. We started talking about our dream last night. Whoopsies!

What did U go see this weekend?!

Wow Perez! Go sit in the shade. I feel sorry for the person who had to mop the floor at the spot where you sat when seeing Zac's film for the first of six times this weekend.

A group of us girls went to see, "Think Like A Man" and boy did it live up to the hype!!! Soooooo funny! It's like, "Sex and the City" except MEN will also like this movie. So, it's a great "date" movie.

saw it this weekend. couldn't hear it so well because of all the black people TALKING throughout the whole damn thing. yep, stereotypes happen for a reason. Definitely the last time I see a movie with an all black cast … not because of the movie, but because of the loud-mouthed, texting, cell phone talking audience.

Re: ClipSlip – Yes I have experienced this also, very annoying and if you aski them to shush (quitely) you get the racist comments.

Re: ClipSlip – Yes, I also didn't stay to see Big Momma's House pt. 2 because of the blacks talking loudly on their phones. Had to walk out.

I saw Think Like a Man. It was hilarious! Even the men in the audience enjoyed the film. How often do you hear that about a rom-com?!

Contrary to other's experiences, the show I attended consisted of all African Americans and there was no loud talking at the screen or loud mouthed cell phone talking.

Sorry for the TWO negative experiences some of you have had that has made you believe ALL "blacks" are that way and to make you not support African American actors & actresses.

Btw there are 3 other white characters in the movie - 2 of them are best friends with the 4 black guys in the movie poster and had substantial roles.

Anyway…I rarely purchase DVDs but I'm definitely buying this when it comes out!
