Ashley Fink: No More Glee For Me!

| Filed under: TV NewsGleeChris Colfer

Ashley Fink Glee Fate

Say it ain’t so!

While Glee fans fell in love with Ashley Fink’s character Lauren in the show’s second season, creator Ryan Murphy seemed to have different plans.

In the season three premiere, Lauren quit New Directions and Gleeks haven’t heard from her since!

That is, until now!

In a recent interview, Ashley revealed:

"It is what it is. Lauren's somewhere in that school, she's just not on camera or being talked about [laughs]. She's involved in activities that aren't televised."

LOLz, at least she can keep a sense of humor about it all…even after the show’s creator promised she’d return and STILL hasn’t followed through!

Still, there seems to be no hard feelings as Ashley explains:

"Of course I miss me on Glee. I miss everybody. I miss the fun experience that show is. But Glee is very much a fly by the seat of your pants [operation] in the way that best laid plans never quite come together. They have so many [characters] to take care of and I think once they made the decision that all these characters were going to graduate, it shifted the way this season was going to go. I haven't heard anything from Ryan, but I visited [while they were filming] prom, so I got to see everybody, which was great."

Though no longer on the show, Ashley has remained SUPER supportive of her former Glee castmates, most recently attending the premiere of Chris Colfer’s film Struck By Lightning, which he wrote as well as starred in!

How sweet!

We miss Lauren on Glee, but maybe there's still hope she might pop up next season!!!

Fingers crossed!!

Her new role should be on "The Biggest Loser" or spokesmodel for Jenny Craig. If her mother had half a brain she would get that girl on a diet because she is ruining her health.

    FAT is NOT fashionable!

Wow, keep on hating, I guess -_-. Anyway, I didn't like her character. I found her very forced. They were trying to inject a fat positive character in to the story where one did not fit. At least not that one. They made her date Puck and it just did not feel right. The awkwardness was palpable.

Next to Brittany, she was my favourite character. Ah well. Hope someone else hires her soon.

She's now guesting on Disney's Austin and Allie - sad that i know that. LOL

Her character was just not believable. She came in with a bad attitude and never had anything of value to add to the show.
My biggest issue was when she plastered the "fat Quinn" posters all over the school. Why would a fat girl tease another girl for being fat when the fat girl on the poster isn't even fat anymore? Let's see: Fat is ugly, so even though you are now a beautiful popular cheerleader, you weren't always that way…once you were fat and ugly…like Lauren still is. Does that make sense?

She wasn't a good fit. I never believed Puck would be attracted to her either. I don't believe in women, young girl, brain washing on TV.

    Good, her character sucked.

I never really got why they were really forcing a "positive"(which isn't true, because she had a TERRIBLE personality and was really nasty, and I don't mean her looks) fat female character on to the show to begin with when they already have a gorgeous, confident, likeable and talented bigger girl on the show with Mercedes. I can believe people wanting to date her because she is a decent human being. No one would want to date Lauren, not because of her weight, but because she was awful.

this SUCKS!! i *love* her and totally miss her on the show - the show is really sucking these days, it's hardly watchable.

Re: Snookietoes – - dude, YOU are what's wrong with society these days - there's NOTHING wrong with being big - being fat doesn't = unhealthy - educate yourself beyond a few epis of dr. phil for fucksakes - you watch too much fucking t.v., fucking idiot.

Re: SouthParkPam – - there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with being fat, you fucking uneducated moron.

Re: Jlbfly – I completely agree! It's like Lauren was suppose to be so confident, yet she was making fun of Quinn for being fat, which makes it appear that she doesn't think fat is a good thing. Then I guess it could be said that she is secure with her body, but she knew Quinn wasn't? Either way, I didn't like her. I think the puck thing was awkward and forced. Like Rachel said they had Mercedes who is gorgeous and a bigger girl, plus she is sweet and talented. Lauren was hateful and annoying.

Maybe she can get a job as the next GoodYear Blimp?

Sorry Water but the truth is FAT leads to disease and poor health and it is nothing to be amortized and promoted as something trendy or cute. Years ago I had a weight issue but watched my father die an early death from poor food choices and poor fitness habits. I worked my ass off to get FIT and there is no excuse for this chick to be a role model for bad health. Sure weight loss and fitness takes a lot of EFFORT but anyone who sits there and lies to this girl that it is "okay" is not doing her any favors and that is the hard fact. This has nothing to do with "feelings" and everything to do with common sense. I applAud Perez for making that change in his life. He looks great and is a good example of discipline.

Tater ps and if you don't think obesity is a national epidemic I suggest YOU read the government health statistics and get a clue why diabetes is a huge problem for our county now and better yet read "Wheat Belly" and learn how this nations eating habits are sending people into early graves. You are foolish to think othwrwise
