Owen Wilson Heads Back To Action With New Flick

| Filed under: Film FlickersOwen WilsonLiam Neeson

Looks like someone was feeling the action movie itch!

Owen Wilson will leave his funnyman skillz behind for his next role in The Coup.

The movie will have Wilson as the patriarch of a American family in the middle of Southeast Asia.

There's only one tiny problem…the country is in the middle of a violent takeover!

The film has said to have a feel like Liam Neeson's Taken and it will be directed by Devil helmer John Erick Dowdle, who also co-wrote it with his bro, Drew.

This will be Owen's first action flick since Behind Enemy Lines in 2001!

We're definitely interested in seeing a more serious Owen Wilson in the future!

I stopped liking him ever since his very public meltdown; at least his psychotics seem to be working….

Wow, has it been that long since we’ve seen Owen Wilson in an action movie. I think he is a great actor, and I enjoy all his comedies. I must’ve missed Behind Enemy Lines somewhere in the mix. I plan on watching this movie, using my Blockbuster@Home service, through Dish where I work. I’m able to stream all my favorite movies to my iPad, or receive disc rentals in the mail. I hope this movie is as good as his classics.
